Following-LS Mountain Bike Frame

The Evil Following-LS is a genre-defying 29er that is equally as capable on the climbs as it is shredding downhill. Built from ultra-strong unidirectional carbon, this durable and lightweight frame is a great place to start for our next bike, built around getting playful all over the mountain. With 121mm of rear travel, the Following-LS punches way above its weight class thanks to the ingenious DELTA linkage system that provides a supple feel early in the travel, endless traction in the middle, and a seemingly bottomless ramp when we get into the end of the travel. This gives us the best combination of acceleration and braking performance so we can rail berms and not have to worry about going over the bars when we need to stop on a dime. So whether we're ripping around our local loop and popping off everything in sight or tackling an all-day high alpine mission, the Following-LS is built to be fast and fun.

Evil gave the Following a few Lightly Salted updates for this year, including integrating the shock spacers into the linkage for easy maintenance and a SRAM Universal Derailleur Hanger so we're not left sitting out the rest of our backwoods bike trip after a close encounter with a stump. The geometry on the Following-LS delivers a steep 76-degree seat tube angle, in the low position to put us in a powerful climbing position and a head tube angle of 66.4 or 66.9 degrees, depending on what position we put the flip chip in, for smashing through technical terrain with just the right amount of precision. Each frame gets a RockShox Deluxe Ultimate shock to provide a supportive pedaling platform and eat up our botched landings, along with short chainstays so we can manual all the way from the trailhead to the tailgate at the end of our ride. Whether we're an overly fit pedal fiend or someone determined seek-and-destroy with absolute efficiency, the Evil Following-LS Mountain Bike Frame is where we want to start our next short-travel 29er build.
