Why We Like The K-2 XT Tent
Our own personal basecamp, the Eureka K-2 XT Tent is where we start and finish our alpine adventure. We wait out the storm with our climbing partner in comfort, or play some poker with the team while we all acclimatize to the altitude. This self-supporting tent is among the roomiest and most popular in Eureka's four-season category.

Very nice and versatile tent.
Lots of options come with this tent in regards to ventilation and storage. It has plenty of mesh for ventilation, all of which having a zippered fabric cover for cooler or cold weather. It also has lots and lots of pockets and loops storing and hanging stuff. The rainfly seems heavy duty. This for a pretty luxurious one person and a dog car camping tent. The use of pole sleeves in the tent with four poles makes set up a bit of a challenge makes. All four have to be inserted and all four are providing resistance when trying to bend that first pole. It makes me a fan of my old eureka tents that use clips instead of sleeves. But after getting it set up, the sleeves do well at maintaining a roomy dome shaped interior. You must also have pretty good knees and don't mind crawling to get in and out of it. Summary: I am glad I bought it and think it will make cooler and rainy weather camping tolerable. Interestingly this "discontinued closeout" sale seems to keep going on and on and on. Must have had a decent stockpile of them at Eureka?

Rock Solid!
After 20 years of service, I was finally forced to retired my Marmot, 4-season tent. This led to a seemingly endless search for of equal caliber and slighter larger to accommodate my daughter as she now joins my wife and I on trips. Behold, the K2 XT!!! We're nicknamed it "the shed" because it's abundant room is fabulous. Endless pockets, attachment points for lighting and clothes lines. Venting galore. Bad weather, no problem. The guy line points are easy to use and hunker this bad boy down for the worse of weather. The vestibules are massive and comfortable to use (unlike some where you literally need to be prone to open the fly). This tent is not likely practical for hikers due to its size and weight. As wilderness canoe trippers, we're loving it! Kudos Eureka!

Great product
It is great, lots of room, and spacious. The reflecting trimming makes it easy to find at night. Easy set-up and even faster break-down.

Survived Unscathed!
My family and I were camping in Badlands National Park this past Fourth of July. My son and I set up our tents side by side - my Eureka K2 XT and his REI 3 season tent. My wife and I and our daughter in the K2 XT and my son and his wife in their tent. Not long after we turned in for the night, a terrible storm hit like a freight train. 70 MPH wind, nickel sized hail, torrential rain and thunder and lightning blasted us for about 30 minutes. After the worst part of the storm passed, it continued to rain hard for 6 more hours. My son and his wife had to sleep In the car, because their tent didn’t make it. Our K2 XT not only survived, but kept us bone dry all night long. Great Tent!

Awesome Updates
This is my third Eureka 4-season hexagon tent in 40 years of camping. My prior two are still in service. Each tent was better than the last, and this one is way better. Superior ventilation on tent and fly, great vestibule, and incredible pockets. Not sure how I would make it better other than reflective cord and tension sliders which I added. Great work!
