The Pure leaves the fuss of extras behind to give us unfettered performance wherever we send it. When we're carving through hard-earned powder, spray glances off the waterproof construction as our building heat escapes through the mesh-lined underarm vents. When we're getting our corduroy fix, the flannel-like backing gives us a touch of added warmth in the lift line, while the sleeve pocket keeps our pass at the ready.

This jacket is really great - fantastic vibrant color, all the bells and whistles, but like so many ski clothes for women, it is as if they just took a men's jacket and stuck a different label on it and sold it as a women's item. If you have hips or curves (and most women do), you will have to buy the jacket so large to accommodate your body that it will fit too large (shoulders, chest, length of arms) AND too small (hips). I have been skiing for years and this has always been an issue for me and my female friends (especially true for all the newer "technical" apparel). Retailers need to advocate for their women customers, and designers and manufacturers need to realize that women are half the market and are due some respect!
