We pull on the Free Tour Pant for a day of bluebird backcountry laps. With a multi-directional stretch and pre-shaped knees, this pair doesn't balk at kick turns, while the burly lower-leg panels save the cuffs from our skis' sharp edges. As we bootpack the final steep before the drop, our vapor escapes freely through the tough double-weave, helping to calm our microclimate. If the clear sky should conjure flurries, we shred on unbothered with the fresh flakes rolling right off the water-resistant finish.

Uncomfortable Seam
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- M
- Height:
- 5' 10"
- Weight:
- 175
I'm 5'10" 175lbs and the medium fit perfectly. The material feels great and the look is nice as well. The problem with this pant is that there is a seam at the bottom of the thigh pockets that rubs on your thigh just above the knee. Even with a base layer between the pants and my skin the rubbing is very uncomfortable. I got that just from wearing them around the house for an hour. I think a day in the backcountry would go from uncomfortable to painful within a few miles on the skin track. I had to return them.
