Bought these for a girls trip to Maine in September where I knew we would be doing a lot of hiking with weather that could go either way. Ended up wearing them for our 4am Cadillac Mountain sunrise hike. Kept me warm while it was still dark, but were still comfortable as we continued our day with more light hiking as the temps got into the mid 70s. I got a small, I'm 5'3"and about 128, and they fit well. Probably could have done an xs if it were available.
