Why We Like The Danner Mountain 600 Hiking Boot
Built for the wet weather and rugged terrain of the Pacific Northwest, the Danner Women's Mountain 600 Hiking Boot offers uncompromising grip on wet and dry surfaces and superior cushioning—without the weight. The waterproof suede upper and Danner Dry liner keep the elements at bay, while providing moisture-wicking, breathable comfort.
Its midsole construction ensures the right combination of support, rebound, cushioning, and stability for comfort and confidence when you're out on the trail. Danner also wanted to make sure the Mountain 600 was versatile enough for everyday wear, so they gave it a low-profile DPDX last to make it equally at home urban exploring as it is in the wilderness.

Perfect hiking boots
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
When I need boots for a hike instead of trail runners, these couldn’t be better. I wear when I need ankle support, need waterproof, or something more heavy duty. They are extremely comfortable and supportive. I’ve had for 4 years and they’ve been through mud, snow, etc - and still wear and look great.

I love these boots! My foot is wide across the ball area and I have a hard time finding shoes and boots that don't pinch. When I tried these on the first time, they were slightly tight across that area of my foot but soon loosened just enough that they were very comfortable. I wore them in the house for a few days before hiking at South Mountains State Park in North Carolina. We traversed the rocky wet areas of the river and also the trail to the upper falls area which was quite steep. I wore these with the Darn Tough Hiker Boot Cushion socks and they were so comfortable and I didn't have any rubbing at all. I accidentally misstepped on the rocks in the river and my foot slid in about halfway. I was really thankful that the water just beaded off the boot and my foot stayed dry! I did find them to be slippery on the wetter, mossy rocks, but that's not really surprising. They are comfortable, look fantastic, and fit my wide foot, so I am super pleased with them! I went with my normal size of 7.5 and am happy with the fit.

Got these winter of 2020 and was obsessed with them until recently. They were so comfortable and supportive for about eight months, but recently they?ve started giving me blisters even on moderate hikes. Pretty bumped they didn?t last longer.

These are my first pair of Danner boots and I love them. They are light-weight, comfortable, super cute on the trails and stylish enough to do your urban errands. As far as sizing, they do not run big. If anything, they are true to size or small. I usually wear an 9.5 or 10. I bought these in 10 so that I could wear thicker socks if I wanted and I am glad I did. I purchased the Brown/Red and the Java/Bossa Nova colors. They also each come with two pair of shoe laces so you can mix up the look. I love that they are waterproof as there is nothing more uncomfortable than wet feet when you are hiking on a cold day. The insoles are easy to remove to dry or replace with an orthotic. If you are going to use a thick orthotic, you may want to size up a half size. I highly recommend these boots.

I bought a 7.5 my regular shoe size. I hesitated as I get 8 in running sneakers. These fit fine enough room in toe box and good support cushion in shoe bed. I got the brown suede and although I have not hiked in them they are hefty enough to go in snow and woodland hiking. Very pleased with this brand bought the inquire chukka style as well like walking on a cloud. Recommend

Ran small on me
- Size Bought:
- 8.5
- Height:

I read the reviews and most said this boot either ran big or true to size so I ordered my normal size 8.5. Looks like I need a 9 but they can?t return right now cuz of covid so that?s really the only reason for 3 stars. Expensive boot I cant wear and cant even exchange. Really inconvenient to order online with backcountry right now.
