Great pack, meh water system
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
My old camelback was falling apart so I upgraded to this. Pros - I love how low profile it it while still having a lot of breathability on my back. There's tons of room and pockets for snacks, glasses and tools. Some of those internal pockets are real tight if you have normal sized hands. I can fit my chin bar and pads in the outside pocket on the way up and the clips make it easy to keep it in place. The pack straps down real nice and snug and doesn't bounce all over the place. Cons - I don't know what cracked out person designed the bladder system, but its pretty derp. To their credit, you have the option to open from the top or bottom to access the bladder, however, neither make it remotely easy to get it back in place. Rather than the tried and true tall thin bladder shape, they opted for thiccc n short. It's still somehow 3l, but I do not know how...So assuming you've filled the bladder and put it back in, to keep it in place theres a weird button/hook type thing you need to have x-ray vision to actually clip in place. All in all, none of these things really matter in performance, but in practice its annoying to deal with. If I could give half stars I'd go with 4.5/5
