Ripped during first use
The tent was pretty good except the loop attaching the poles to the tent ripped off immediately the first time we set up the tent. I’m going to try to fix it myself because we like the tent overall.

Spacious, easy to set up
We've taken this tent out twice now and we love it, taking it out again for a week-long trip tomorrow. Set-up isn't too bad for a tent this size. The attached-pole concept is great and definitely helps when packing it back up. The only thing, we wish the bottom of the sides of the fly (under the Coleman logo on both sides) had attached guy strings so we could guy the bottom of the fly away from the tent for (a) further rain protection and (b) better ventilation inside the tent. We can make that alteration ourselves, though. We ordered this one along with the Weathermaster 6-person tent and ultimately chose this Skydome over the Weathermaster. More space inside, smaller pack size, easier to set up.

Tent Not Big Enough
Tent got wet inside and could only really fit a twin air mattress and full size bean bag. Advertised as 3 queen size bed fit but there was not enough room.

Great updates but one HUGE downgrade
Love everything about this tent - had borrowed from friends for the past few years and decided to finally buy my own. I foolishly didn’t look too carefully before buying assuming the tent was the same as the old version but with a new fly colour, only to discover THE ‘SWINGING DOOR’ (that’s supported by a pole) as been removed?!? Now the door is just a regular zipper door, without the ‘swinging open/closed’ capabilities! This was honestly the BEST feature of the original tent, and when camping with toddlers SO SO awesome to allow them easy access/exit while still keeping bugs out. I can’t believe they would remove this feature - now my toddler gets the zipper stuck basically every time he tries to go in or out. I was devastated they would remove the swinging door. SUCH an amazing feature of the older version.

I'm an avid camper especially river camping. This tent is too heavy to hike with, but if you got a boat and a river you're gonna have a good time. I'm 6.3 and I can stand up straight in the tent but my head does touch the top. The tent is super easy to put together for being an 8 person tent. With 8 people in the tent you still have plenty of room to roll on your side and have somewhat of a personal space. It has the perfect amount of pockets to store item and clothing. The best part is I can store my gear it in during rain and snow storms.

Good Pros and Cons
I bought this tent looking to sleep 4 adults on 2 queen mattress blowups and have room in the middle for 3 small dogs. It definitely was the perfect size for that as we put the beds on each side and a table in the middle with the dog beds underneath - the size was perfect. The tent does set up very quickly as others have mentioned. We had a huge rain storm on our camping trip and it dumped water on us but we all stayed dry. When we packed up there was probably about 1/2 - 1 cup of water in little puddle spread throughout the tent (I posted photos) we were pleased with this. My 2 big complaints are 1. The little flap that goes over the zipper to keep water out gets stuck EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. so going in the tent is kind of a pain. 2. Because the sides of the tent are slanted it doesn't fit 2 queen airbeds that well. With the beds on each side of the tent the walls are slanted so much that you can't use the last foot of bed closet to the wall without having tent literally on your face. You also can't push the mattress towards the middle of the tent more because then you would block the door. The photo looks like the airbed is shoved really hard in to the outside wall but it's not, it's just the walls of the leaning in too much. See photos. Because of this the next tent I buy I would look for either a longer tent or one that didn't have slanted walls.

Big
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start by saying the image does not do this tent justice on size! It is huge. It is a little more complicated to set up than it looks and the instructions are a little hard to follow otherwise good tent. As we we’re trying to set up it started raining so we had to bring it inside. The material is sturdy and I love the dome so you can watch the sky at night. Definitely a good tent

This tent is absolutely incredible and spacious !
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tent is huge !! This tent can fit three queen size air beds , with room left over to walk around them ! Two of us were able to set the tent up in under five minutes ! That is incredibly fast , it really was super easy . One thing I found very helpful was that we encountered a little bit of rain and wind our camping trip , The tent frame can with stand up to 35 mile an hour winds ! It’s strong ! All the lining is double sealed and there is an extension that comes out over the door that helps keep any rain away . There is an E port so you can bring an extension cord inside your tent . When we took the tent down it took less than five minutes as well and I just want to say that yes fabric on the tent is high quality !
