Taking its name from the Italian word for transparent, the Castelli Men's Trasparente V blurs into the background on chilly training rides without the bulkiness of a protective riding jacket. Instead, it occupies the middle ground between jacket and jersey, making it a go-to choice for spring and autumn rides when a jacket is overkill, yet a regular jersey leaves you inadequately prepared for blustery conditions and oncoming showers.

Now back for its fifth iteration, the Trasparente V features all new fabrics, with Polartec NeoShell at the front of the torso and arms, which provides fully windproof protection with generous stretch to still achieve a true form-fitting jersey fit, while a brushed interior traps in heat and wicks away sweat. By placing windproof panels along the leading edges, you'll remain insulated from frosty gusts when you're riding with a swift cadence. To balance warmth and breatability, Castelli places the Neo Flex Xtra Dry fabric at the backs of the arms and back panel, which still offers thermal properties, but with the boost of off-the-charts moisture management to quickly usher perspiration outward to keep you dry and warm inside. Since the jersey it made to take the place of a lightweight jacket, Castelli adds in a little extra on top of the standard three jersey pockets it hosts in back, with an additional zippered chest pocket that's ideal for storing your valuables close by, and keeping them dry while you ride.
