Great bib shorts
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I’ve been looking for bibs like this. Comfortable chamois, secure fitting. I no longer have to think about comfort while cycling long mile rides.

Nice Bibs for the Price
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
These are really well constructed and good fitting bibs for under $150. They have good compression and stretch, the side panel material is really unique, and the leg grippers don't let them ride up or even move once in place. The pad is good, but surprisingly not quite 5 stars for me. A solid 4 for sure though. Please note, the sizing is wonky to say the least. At 6'1" and 160 lbs, I've never had to buy XXL's before! I bought a pair of XL's and they're race-tight, and an XXL for training and longer days in the saddle.

Typical Castelli Fit
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Before I bought these, I was already familiar with Castelli’s inaccurate sizing chart. However, for the sale price I paid, these are a great deal. I’m 6’1” 170 and the large fits fine for me; I like a snug bib. What makes these interesting are the Lycra panels on the legs which make them more breathable. The chamois is pretty generous as well. All in all a decent bib for the money.

Sizing Chart is WAY Off
Hopefully this review will convince CC to stop selling this product. The only thing I can think is that neither CC or Castelli realize just how inaccurate the listed sizing is for this product. I am 6' 1" and built like a climber. I've been a die-hard cyclist for over 35 years and am very particular about my bibs. I've only ever worn size L and have had great success with nearly all brands in this size. Pear Izumi, Assos, Garneau and Giordana. XL has always been too big and M usually too small. After reading the positive reviews on these, I decided to try Castelli for the first time and go TWO sizes larger understanding that there might be a compromise somewhere (leg bands, long straps, whatever) Received them quickly, tried them on, and could barely get them on they were so tight. I checked the tag to see if they were actually a M and they were, in fact, XXL. Tried them on again to confirm the fit, and no question they were way too small in all areas of fit. The other reviews on this Castelli product are actually generous in suggesting 1-2 sizes. When TWO sizes over and still don't fit right suggests a defective product line. Build quality seems excellent, but I didn't spend more than five minutes out of the package to look anything else over. Going back immediately and eagerly awaiting a prompt refund from CC.

Too Small
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
This is a good quality product, however the sizes are off the chart. I am 5' 7" and an Extra Large still too small where normally the medium would be fine.

Size up
Made to jump from Pearl to these nicer bibs. Read reviews about sizing, I'm 5 10 185LB and XL fit great, still snug but comfortable. Great quality material.

Super comfortable but sizing is tough.
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
You are best to buy a few sizes and return the ones that don't fit. I am 5-9 at 170 lbs but have thicker/muscular thighs/bottom. The XL was super tight around this area and even the straps where tight while on the bike. Double XL fits like a dream as they are tight but not cut your blood supply off tight. Great bibs but super small.

Way Smaller Than Most Bibs
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Size Purchased: XL - Fits like an Endura Medium and a Pearl Izumi Medium Great bibs, but they do run two sizes smaller than most brands.

Very Comfortable, Snug Fit
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
These are great bibs, very comfortable on longer rides, pad is not too thick, not too thin, and very breathable. There are hundreds of small round indentations in the pad, which appear to be the key to the comfort and breathability. It's been really hot lately, but these bibs keep me cool, and the light mesh shoulder straps are comfortable, although they may be a bit tight for taller riders. Typical Castelli snug fit, very form fitting. I'm at the size break between M and L, and the Large fits the way I like, which is snug. The leg grippers work well, and stay put. I've worn these on a few dozen rides, and they've held up well so far, I always launder them in a separate zippered mesh bag, so the thin mesh straps don't catch on anything. As for size recommendations, if you're more than 2% body fat go up a size with Castelli, maybe two sizes if you have a larger build.

Defective bib?
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Good quality bibs but the padding on the ones I received where defective. On the right side of the padding I got severe chafing. I thought I would adjust to the bib but after a couple of rides but I dint. I decided to rerun. Will order new ones when I receive my refund.
