Asymulator Snowboard

Taking design cues from some of the favorites in the Capita line, the Asymulator Snowboard is an all-terrain freestyle machine that lends us unique style and a versatile performance, whether we're ripping powder or laying down carves across groomers. Sitting with a medium flex, the Asymulator is stable on everything from big park jumps to pressing boxes, while the Resort V1 Profile combines camber for powerful pop, flat sections to increase forgiveness, and a bit of rocker to aide with float in deep snow. The unique tip and tail design is perfect for adding flair to your tweaked grabs, and an asymmetrical sidecut enhances your carves on either edge for precise, stylish turns.

Easy Rider

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Size Bought:
156

The Asymulator from Capita is an asymmetrical snowboard that takes the best attributes from Capita's D.O.A, Outerspace Living and Mercury snowboards. The Asymulator shares the same camber profile as Capita's most popular, Defenders of Awesome snowboard. Camber under your feet will give you the pop and energy you are looking for in a snowboard. Outside the feet is a zero camber zone that allows the board to ride extremely stable in resort and park conditions. The sidecut on the toe side of the board is a smooth radius. The same as the Outerspace Living. However, on the heel side edge, the sidecut is one of the Mercury, complete with Death Grip. This allows you to really turn hard on your heel side without washing out. I was looking for a D.O.A and they were sold out. I picked up a Asymulator and couldn't be happier. I got lucky they were available in my size.

Different, in a good way

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Looking down at this shape is awesome, its just different than anything else out there. Kind of like a shaped skateboard, its nice to have something different than the standard popsicle stick. It also reminds me of the legendary Travis Parker Unorthodox board. The ride-ability is awesome though, its got the DOA camber profile that is super fun everywhere, but a real deep heel side sidecut making this thing turn like nobody?s business. If you are a fan of the DOA, are a big fan of carving, want to try something different, this could be your dream ride.
