The Canada Goose Women's Ridge Pant keeps your bottom half dry whether you're crushing it on a powder day, blasting through a blizzard, or walking through weather even ducks avoid. This pant's waterproof, windproof Tri-Durance hardshell giggles with delight at the thought of pounding precipitation, be it rain or snow. Wear the Ridge pant alone in a freak April blizzard, or layer it over thermal long-johns when you're caught, mid-hike, in an October downpour.
The 3-layer hardshell fabric has 4-way stretch so you can bootpack up a ridge or step over obstacles on the trail and not rip your pants. Elasticized ankle gaiters prevent groundwater from splashing up your legs and snow sneaking down your boots. The Cordura reinforcements at the inside of the ankles protect the pant from ski cuts, crampon scratches, or other sharp objects at foot level. Leave the suspenders attached when you're skiing or boarding, or remove them when backpacking to avoid unnecessary conflict between pack straps and suspenders.
The adjustable waistband is lined with brushed tricot for extra softness and sports both snap and hook-and-eye closures. A right thigh pocket, complete with waterproof zipper, offers easy storage for your season ski pass, an ID, and a few dollars. Side leg zippers make getting in and out of this pant a dream; now if only the same could be said for your ski or hiking boots.
