Libations all around.
Rising with the sun at your campsite, you want nothing more than a hot beverage to warm you up and melt away the dew. If you brought Camp Chef's Aluminum Hot Water Pot along to the site, you and all your camping party could be enjoying a steaming cup of tea, hot chocolate, or instant coffee in no time. Place it over any heat source for five gallons of hot water, enough to serve 80 people a warm drink of their own. With that much capacity, you could post it up in the backyard for parties, bring it to the tailgate on those nippy days, or just about anywhere else away from your stove. This multi-use pot's handy spigot prevents possible burning or mess while also lending itself to cleaning dishes or washing hands during meal times.

Epic Failure
Purchased about 2-3 weeks ago. Took it out on a trip to Big Bend with a large group. Camped in an incredibly remote location, many miles and hours to the nearest store of any sort. Put the pot on the stove in the morning to heat water for the group. The incredibly low quality seals around the provided spigot for the pot had failed. I doubt that I overtightened it (in my opinion) the seals are just made of cheap, plastic material. The aluminum pot itself seems to be just fine, but was rendered useless by this spigot and seal that is clearly it's Achilles heal. Would probably be better off just boiling water in a large pot and using a cup to serve hot water which is what we ended up doing. Waste of money unfortunately......

Don’t leave home without it!
Have used on just one camp out so far but this is a 12 on a scale from 1 - 10! It was great having hot water on tap for cooking, beverages and cleaning. I’m a Scoutmaster so this will get monthly use.

Great pot!
This is an excellent way to have a lot of hot water available for dishes or drinking (hot cocoa, etc) while camping or anywhere. However, it works best on the 14" stove system. On the 14" system, you can center the pot on the burner and the spigot sticks out over the side of the stove. But, it won't reach on the 16" stove system. In order to get the spigot to reach over the edge of the 16" stove, you have to move the pot forward so that it is no longer centered over the burner. I recommend getting the flame tamer to better distribute the heat. Not absolutely necessary, but helpful.

POTABLE WATER
Purchased as a field expedite method of producing drinking water in bulk. First attempt didn’t disappoint. Was so impressed that I purchased another for future use if needed.

Established the standard.
Bought this pot last month and have used once while camping. Works as advertised, but leaves a stain at the water level inside. Fills a basic need for hot water at the camp site.

Awesome!
I bought this to hot chocolate while camping and it has been awesome. Recently used at a church camp out and served over 100 people hot chocolate, I only had to refill it once. Love this thing!
