I love the backpack function
I love the backpack function … unfortunately, the bladder seems to leak at the cap site. Makes a mess when I take the pack off and lay it down. Ran out of water on my double 14er yesterday when I lost 1+ L.

I like the backpack. It
I like the backpack. It isn't real heavy material, but after a week of use it's fine. It's deep. I have a weird custom use for it. It'll work fine.

14teener
Nice pack, good size, probably good ventilation, but since it sets on 4 points on your back on hard foam it was uncomfortable for me. Skarab 30 much better

Lots of room!
Holds plenty of water and has lots of room for other necessary hiking gear. I love the side zipper pocket to keep my keys in.

Great Pack for a Day Trip
This a great bag with the quality of Camelbak that is expected. It is a bit small on a larger frame guy like me but it definitely doesn’t give me a “first day of school” vibe. Overall I am very happy with my purchase!

Narrow shoulders,
This backpack is built for small framed people and doesn’t feel very sturdy. I’m 6’4”. The shoulder straps are cutting into my neck instead of resting on my shoulders. It’s that narrow! Oh and the opening for the main compartment is tiny. Unfortunately this is the replacement I was sent when my discontinued pack finally wore out. I called customer service and they told me not to complain because it’s a free backpack. Camelbak is not what it used to be. I used to love them.

very good, not quite perfect
I bought this pack to replace a 14L pack. I wanted the 3L reservoir size for all days hikes, but I was looking for something with more capacity. I like the Camelbak brand, generally, for their reliable attention to quality in terms of materials, stitching, etc., and certainly this pack meets my expectations in that regard. Once adjusted it fits extremely well. Generally speaking I like the layout. I disagree with the previous commenter that the reservoir compartment should have 2 zippers - I don't think it's necessary, especially with a 3L reservoir. I agree, though, that the lack of integrated rain cover is a disappointment. I don't know what the design decision was there, but if you need one you can always purchase one separately which is what I did. The trekking pole attachment is nice feature, and useful for when you want them out of the way. Another commenter mentioned the length of the hose was too short. I have found that the hose can occasionally become wrapped around the bottom of the reservoir when replacing it in the compartment, which will limit the available length. This is user error. A simple adjustment will correct the issue, but you have to actually take the time to open the reservoir compartment and untangle it. Pulling on the hose will not help. The AirSupport back panel is a bit firmer than I generally like, but it nestles nicely into the curve of the lower back making it very stable and helps distribute the weight. It can feel a bit awkward if the pack is loaded improperly or you are carrying something particularly lumpy. Again, this is more user error than a design flaw.
