Reign over the most technical terrain on the mountain with the Burton Imperial Snowboard Boot. Fine-tuned with a highly responsive flex, the Imperial offers the stability and precise board control desired for charging down intimidating faces and tight tree runs. Taking design cues from Burton's top-flight SLX Boot, the Imperial's S4 shell panels resist breakdown for a consistent flex throughout the course of the season. The Imprint 3 liner maintains high levels of support, offering a truly custom fit by conforming to the shape of your foot for superb comfort.
The Focus Cuff hugs the sweet spot around your ankle, preventing dreaded heel lift from sapping energy transmission to your board. For lasting freshness, the Aegis antimicrobial finish prevents the growth of funky microbes after long days on the mountain. EST Optimized tech in the midsole provides a low-profile feel for increased control when you're driving into carves and blasting off natural drops. To compensate for the thinner midsole, B3 gel cushioning soaks up heavy landings and excess vibration from fatiguing your lower body. And because it's meant for off-piste exploration, the Vibram EcoStep sole features rubber Ice Spikes for sure-footed grip across sketchy snow and treacherous terrain.

I?ve been through 3 seasons with these boots, love them. Very supportive, stiff yet responsive. Stays snug throughout an entire day of being on the mountain. There is a bit of rub on the ankles, but if you wear wellingtons or cowboy boots this is nothing new. Would buy again.

The "focus Cuff" technology to prevent heel lift destroys the "sweet spot" on the inside of my ankles. I've spent 3 seasons trying to love these all-mountain boots, but they are not too kind in return. Blister after Blister in the same spot, I'm finally hanging these up. Tried different sock thicknesses and different lacing/strapping combos. Tried them touring numerous times, they destroyed me. Tried resort riding and a little side country boot packing, destroyed me. Tried just some strictly resort riding and I can make it through a few days, but still get tender in the sweet spot if I'm at it a few days in a week. Besides this I really do enjoy the boot, Lightweight, Comfortable, quick lacing, but all the pro's are outweighed by the con from how bad these boots blister. Even after I get a callus there, i've had it erode and blister through it. Maybe its just me and I got fat ankles, maybe I broke these in touring and side country boot packing so when I tried to peel back to just strictly resort, they're too loose and eat me up regardless. I did try on different sizes too at a store so they're properly fitted.
