The manual brake is terribly
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The manual brake is terribly designed. It bends the wheels when fastened and it fastens itself when riding the bike. Useless. Additionally, my dog hates being in there. Would not buy it again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love it! Great quality and easy to put together. My dog enjoys it and it’s been so fun to use. It’s also very lightweight so it’s super easy to bike with. Definitely would recommend this to anyone looking to get a dog bike trailer!

His favourite thing !
After getting our dog, Teddy, used to his tail wagon he now loves it ! Every weekend sees us riding to cafe for a coffee. Teddy gets so excited as soon as the wagon moves and waits beside it till it’s time to climb in. He can see so much more than when he’s in the car. His tail never stops. And the smiles and comments from the people who watch us go bye! He’s quite the celebrity and our neighbours have now bought one and have joined our rides. From the number of inquiries and questions we get from people we meet, we expect to see more happy dogs on our travels ! The tail wagon certainly gets Teddy’s tail wagging !!

With a couple mods, it's very good
We live in Los Angeles, but it still gets cold, especially for a small dog. I insulated the entire trailer with Insul-Brite fabric and Reflectix Insulation. The floor isn't really supported by much underneath. It's a piece of coroplast, corrugated plastic in a fabric cover. I got a threaded Aluminum rod, the same size as the holes drilled for the 2 wheel guards, I pushed it all the way through and secured both sides(inside and out) with a washer/lock washer and a nut. A small diameter pool noodle around the rod now adds some support to the floorboard. The other issue I noticed was the rear "gate". It's just a piece of material, there is no actual gate, so if you have a small dog or one with average intelligence, he/she can use a well placed snout to open up the rear of the trailer and jump out. This is the biggest problem I have with this trailer. It's not very secure when my puppy easily slipped out while I was at the grocery store. I saw her little nose push through the back then dive out...I fixed this problem with a sheet of Lexan(polycarbonate) 2 small hinges attached to the floorboard keep the Lexan in place. I also attached it to the "rear gate" of the trailer, now it's not just material it's material on the outside, tough polycarbonate inside. I did the same on the front and both have 2 sheets of Insulation. The rain cover flaps that zip up and down are nice but the bottoms stick out too far so I attached small snaps to keep them secure. The whole trailer was also sprayed with a couple coats of waterproofing spray. I also attached some 1" fabric strapping the top bars on both sides along with a carabineer. I can attach small pouches here since there isn't much cargo space that's not in reach of curious puppy. Remote control 6ft color adjustable light strip was also added to the outside to make sure it's visible. People barely notice a bicycle, let alone a trailer behind it, so better safe than sorry. I think that's all I had to do so far, if you have any questions on insulating a trailer or other mods, email me at: efxnoise @ gmail . com

Great product! Love it!!

- I've used it several times
I highly recommend this item! It's well made and worth the price and very well made. It was easy to assemble and fold up nice when not in use. It will perfectly and comfortably fit 2 small dogs or 1 medium dog. It is definitely worth the price! I'm very happy with my purchase and shipping was quick too...maybe 4 days after I placed the order online. My girls love their new ride too!

Not a good fit for tall dogs
I've been scoping dog trailers for months and was so excited to come home to this trailer as my birthday surprise. Unfortunately it was too small for my pup. He fits the weight limit, but the way the top bar sits he could not sit or turn around comfortably in the trailer. We ended up returning the trailer. However, we would love if Burley would design a slightly larger version of this trailer and would purchase it in a heartbeat!

The Hubby officially retired 12/4/20
The Hubby officially retired 12/4/20 so we decided to purchase two new bikes for ourselves. At one Bike Shop we saw your Burley Children carriers. So when I got home looked online at your site for Pet Carriers for our fur-babies. Especially for our BenG who cries if he’s not with us (sheltered COVID pup new addition). The Tail Wagon is solid, rides smoothly and adds little strain on the human peddler (PapaG). We couldn’t be more pleased with your product. Top notch quality, easy assembly, easy connect/disconnect from bike. And it folds up beautifully to store. You thought of everything. Worth every dollar investment spent!

I have a Trek Duel Sport Hybrid bike with disc brakes and quick release hubs. Is there any way to hitch the Tail Wagon to this bike?

I've been such a big Burley fan. I just bought a third Burley for my Labrador - tail wagon. I'm a bit perplexed (frustrated) with the design - which does not allow her to sit up straight while facing forward (bike). She is not comfortable in it. WTHeck?

Hi. Is it safe to attach the Burley tail wagon to an electric bike? If so, what would be the top speed for the tail wagon and how many miles will the tail wagon withstand? Thank you

Is it possible to jog with the available stroller kit? And if so, is the one or two wheel kit preferable?

What do you do if your dog weighs 85 lbs.?

Also is it possible to change the wheel size on the Tail Wagon. Since there is no suspension on the trailer it would be nice to get a taller or fat tire on it to run a lower air pressure to help reduce bumps on road. Thank you
