Ghost 13 GTX Running Shoe - Men's

Anything but waterproof

The Ghost 13 gtx were my fifth pair of Brooks gtx. These were by far the worst, in that they were absolutely not waterproof, and barely water repellent. Out in the rain, not running through puddles, both feet were quite wet - it's almost as though they were not treated with goretex. These are fairly new, so I'll wear them in dry weather only. Great style and comfort - hence the two stars, but wet feet are very disappointing, and uncomfortable. I've just purchased a pair of Ghost 14 gtxs, and hope these perform better.

Slippery

Slippery on wet asphalt, especially in the forefoot. Everything else is good.

Perfect Gift

I bought these shoes for my husband for Father’s Day. He loves Brooks Running Shoes and I know he has the perfect gift!! My husband used to wear another brand I won’t mention but after wearing Brooks for the first time, he said he will never go back to that brand.

I have some previous ghost 13 and these new ones I feel a little more tired aching feet quicker …

In love with my Brooks

It is a very comfortable running/ walking tennis shoe. I bought for my boyfriend and he is in love with them, he said once he started using these shoes, his feet don’t hurt anymore. I own a couple of pairs myself, the Ariel, and completely recommend those too, just buy them half a size bigger than your true size, I wear 8 and buy 8.5 for much better comfort. Best running/ walking work shoes I’ve ever owned. Worth every penny.

Not very comfortable, and not true to size, they run small.

Perfect Running Shoes

This pair of shoes was given as a gift. It is incredibly comfortable and breathable making it ideal for running!

Also not the color I was looking for. The shoes appeared to be black and red and that is what I thought I was paying for

Will be returning for refund because glue is showing around shoe. Makes a bad appearance

Disappointed with Ghost GTX 13 mens

This is the 3rd pair of Brooks Ghost GTX I have owned. The first 2 pair were great. I ordered the the Ghost 13 GTX and from just walking the dog in the grass that had due. My socks were damp. Water did not go over the sides it soaked through. I sent those back and the same thing happened to the replacement pair. I now switched to another waterproof shoe. I compared the Ghost 13 waterproof to the Ghost 12 waterproof I have and there material that they used on the Ghost 13 around the toe is the same as the regular Ghost 13. That material soaks up water like a sponge and takes at least a day to dry. The Ghost 12 had water repellent fabric on the outside toe area and didn't soak up water. . Don't get me wrong. I love Brooks and will continue to wear their non waterproof shoes but as far as waterproof that is a big no.
