Grab your elbow-patch flannel and leather messenger bag, as the Brooks England C13 carbon saddle immediately places you atop the classically styled cyclist podium. Yet as much classically inspired vibrancy as Brooks infuses into their saddle line-up, the C13 is a saddle for the modern performance cyclist looking for a racing advantage and subtle accents. The C13 receives carbon rails to the reduce the weight 150g from the C15, however, retains the popular vulcanized rubber padding and waterproof nylon cover. Four all-black aluminum rivets along the top-rear of the C13 are subtle throwbacks to Brooks' history of blending style and performance in cycling equipment.

If you have a sore butt, try this
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Weight:

I've completed an 840mile California bike packing trip and a 300 mile 24-hour triple century ride this summer, so I've had some time to think about seats. I used a B17 Brooks on my California trip - no issues, highly recommended for long trips where you're not a weight weenie. But on to this seat! I've used power seats and toupe seats from Specialized. I like them, but this seat is much more ideal for longer rides (century+). It feels like a small hammock from your sit bones. At first, it feels weird, but as my friend told me about Brooks saddles: for the first 100 miles, you'll swear at it, but for every mile after you'll swear by it. Worth getting if you'd like to try out something a bit easier on your butt for long rides. Weight-wise, it's heavier, but not crazy heavy with the carbon version. Just watch out: the carbon rails are squared, so you'll need to make sure your bike works with it. My Tarmac is fine with it, but my brother's Aeroad needed the metal rail model (round). Tailwinds! :)
