Nice piece of equipment
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pedal drive works great and is easy to both install and pedal. The Rudder system may require more adjustment on my part but at the present it works but the turning is not as tight as I would like so far. That would be the only reason for not giving 5 stars here.

It doesn't feel sturdy with
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It doesn't feel sturdy with an inflatable kayak. I'm not sure how it would be with a hard body kayak or SUP. It didn't have a smooth fluid motion when peddling.

Drive works well. Makes moving
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Drive works well. Makes moving while casting easy. Mount broke loose when assembling out-of-the box. Reglued it and it works fine. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Amazing!
Very quick and easy set up (once you do it the first time) and such a good time on the water! I get so many compliments and inquiries about the peddles. I have the Breeze as well so breaking down and storing the Rockham with the APEX pedal drive and rudder system isn’t quite as easy, but for such a large board/accessories, I can’t complain!

Great idea but needs improvement
Love the idea of pedal drive and while using it in the water it's a game changer. Gets you were you want to go quickly and easily. Frees hands for other things, most obviously fishing. Problem is execution. Quickly lifting the system up to avoid debris, grass or shallow water is virtually impossible. Maybe it's me, but every time I try the unit takes a lot of effort to lift up. It's tricky and requires pre-planning to get the drive unit up in time to avoid damage or the prop getting tangled with grass, etc. Last is storage. The pedal drive is extremely awkward to store without taking it apart. Needs a special protective bag or box to be designed to help with safely storing it. I'd buy something if made available as an add on. The negatives do not outway the positives, because it's just what's available. But watch for something better to come along, seems inevitable.

Built like a tank but lite!
The pedal drive is built like a tank yet not that heavy at all! I LOVE how it can swivel out of the way and it is sooo easy to i stall. The only thing I would change is making the clear port cover have some sort of leash so it can just sit to the side when you are using the Apex and not have to worry about loosing it. I alternate between the pedal drive and paddling for a great experience on the water and to vary my workout.
