Best carry on for real people
The 30L Stonehauler Pro remains the best bag I've used, with nothing else coming close. I've used duffels from the other similar brands and they just aren't as good. I've used roller duffels this size, but they hold a lot less stuff and they're a lot harder to deal with on small planes. This bag will cram into small overhead compartments and in a pinch I can make it look like it fits under the seat in front of me. If I wasn't routinely flying out of a small commuter plan airport, I might look for something bigger or wheeled, but I want my stuff with me and I often don't have the time for gate checking and retrieval. The padding on this bag makes it much nicer to pack and carry than similar duffels. The laptop sleeve is really nice and even when not holding a laptop it adds just enough extra padding to make it waaaaay more comfortable than similar duffels when in backpack mode. Having a handles on every side is surprisingly handy, and the style of these handles is really nice and tidy and comfortable to use. Honestly, it's just the best. Wife and I each have one.

Best duffel I’ve owned
The stone hauler pro is just absolutely fantastic. The internal compression straps make it a breeze to pack and zip closed. It’s comfortable to carry both as a backpack and as a traditional duffel, and it’s absolutely bomber build quality. I own or have owned duffels from many outdoor brands and have. Even consistently impressed with BD’s thoughtful designs over the competition.

Fantastic bag, minor design flaw
This duffel is terrific! Nice size, excellent quality, easy to carry, handles everywhere you want them. Interior drawstring pouch for dirty stuff is brilliant, and the interior straps help keep things organized. I just wish the backpack straps weren't on the same side as the access zipper - they're often a bit in the way when I go to put stuff in or take stuff out...

Versatile Duffle
I use this as my commuter bag. I use it cycling to work, carry on, and gym bag. High quality materials. Does not feel like it will wear out with repetitive use.

Small but big
30l duffle holds plenty for a gym or crag day. Bomber construction, great adders in the interior.

One of the most versatile duffles out there
This is an early review, after having the bag a month and using it for three different trips (hotel, rafting, car camping, as well as climbing gym and jiu jitsu). The bag has a bomber constructed and is very well thought out. Straps and handles where they’re needed and nothing else. It carries well and is comfortable. The main compartment is layer out perfect! The synchable pocket on one side seemed gimmicky at first and has become a favorite feature. The internal straps keep a gi or clothes where they should be. It is the perfect size to compliment my edc backpack for three days at a hotel, or to carry everything to the gym. I’m already looking at buying the bigger versions. The only thing keeping it from getting all 5 stars are the zipper pulls are just okay and I found myself fumbling with them a little more than I would have expected, and, if the bad os really meant to be used as a one bag daily carry for wrk and your preferred morning/after work activities, sewing the laptop pocket on the lid with a slightly smaller area and perhaps a little foam along the edges for additional protection would be nice to keep it floating more in case of drops. However, this hasn’t been an issue yet. All in all, this is a great bag, I would definitely buy again and recommend.

Decent bag with small issues
I really like this bag, it's sturdy, well built, and can fit a lot of stuff. Although it's a duffel, I bought it primarily as a travel bag for budget airlines for an upcoming trip, as well as a bouldering bag for gym and crag. Because of this, I prefer to use it as a backpack, but the straps are brutal, very uncomfortable. I can put up with it because I'm not going long haul backpacking, but just something to keep in mind. Also, the bag opens from where the backpack straps are placed. I feel the bag would be more functional as a backpack if the zipper opening was on the other side. It would still retain it's functionality as a duffel as well.

Versatile pack
Good amount of compartments and durable outer material. It could just be more comfortable to carry as a backpack (there is no waist belt), and the laptop/table pocket could be better designed for protection, like having more padding and/or not being too close to the exterior wall of the pack.

Really great duffel
Super functional. Just enough pockets to make it work perfectly as a weekender.

QUALITY DUFFEL!
I've had different duffels in the past and still use them religiously for when I travel - Have had Helly Hansen, North Face for the most part in the past. Still use my North Face Base Camp Duffels all the time, however this 30L Duffel, so far, has been AMAZING! and the best 30L I've owned - the size is perfect the build Quilty is excellent, I use this as a daily bag, whether I'm going to the gym, or work, short trips for a couple of days it just seems to handle it all. The 4 haul straps are the best I've seen on a bag - very solid. Some people think they are big , which they are but that just adds to the feel of this bag. It is no nonsense. The straps are stiff but comfy (they will likely soften with use), the "dirt bag" on the inside is incredibly useful for sweaty gym close and shoes, the laptop sleeve is felted and slightly padded but a good size - I can easily fit a 14" MacBook Pro in there and it even fits with a thick padded case on, albeit a little bit more snug. Zippers are stiff but good, you know these are not going to fail. The zipper pull tabs are great and long with ridges on the tips, so even when wearing gloves these will not slip. The daisy chain running around the bag is BIG (width wise) so using small carabiners won't be possible it'll have to be normal sized ones. The outside stash pocket at the top end of the bag is big and deep you can put a lot in there (wallet, keys, paperback book, etc... The internal compression straps work great and help keep everything in the bag snug and in place when full. My only cons on this bag is the ID window is flimsy and seems like an afterthought, also the bag doesn't keep its shape so much even though there is slight padding on the bottom parts - I get it its a duffel, not really suppose to keep shape but on some other bags with more thick or rigid materials it sort of keeps its shape. Also I just with it had a water bottle holder, Yes I get it it's not a backpack but having one that could unzip or unsnap from the side, also there no key holder attachment anywhere on any inner pockets, specifically on this 30L PRO model would have been amazing. These are all small gripes. All in all I'm pleasantly surprised by this bombproof bag and couldn't recommend it enough. This thing is tough and will withstand anything you throw at it.
