Make more mission mids
Late to the party on these wonderful shoes. I needed a more boot like shoe for specific circumstances and these fit perfectly. I take early season trips in the trinity alps in ca. where I do mixed snow and rock/scree travel. I have no doubt these will be my new favorite shoe for light snow/slush and rock mixed terrain. The fit is small. I typically wear a us mens 10. 5 and got these in an 11 and fit like a 10. 5us. size up half size for tight fit and full size for looser fit.

Really like these boots
Great boots, can lock my feet in with out getting sore spots or blisters. Great traction and foot protection

Smaller Sizes, but GREAT boot
I ended up 1. 5 sizes larger than normal, which required a trip to the warehouse, but once I got them sized right, they are AMAZING. Super comfy yet snug on the foot.

Purchased a sceond pair!
I ended up purchasing a second pair because I love my first pair so much. It checks all the boxes, fit is great, and it looks better with age (something I try do myself to no avail)

Light yet sturdy for edging and technical terrain
I was looking for a lightweight boot that could easily do class 3/4 - this is the boot. It is supportive but has the grip for smearing as well as enough of a last for edging as well. Haven't used it with traction devices (yet) but it will be better than my hokas/trail running shoes. I can kinda still run in them but they are just great as fast hiking / approach shoes.

Just hiked up symmetry spire in the Grand Teton National Park in these boots. Super comfortable and the grip is amazing.

Solid approach boots
Got these boots to replace my arborist work boot that felt like high heels. Foot bed feels a lot more level and they have broken in quickly. They are well made, have good rubber and are comfortable. I’ve had no issues wearing these all day working. I ordered a half size up after reading a lot of reviews and am very glad I did. My feet are not particularly wide so they fit good but would not recommend for folks that usually wear wide boots. Lacing systems feels cumbersome at times but has gotten better the more I’ve worn them. These are my first pair of bd shoes and I have to say I’m impressed. They are a good balance between comfort and function and I feel like I’ll be able to put some mileage on them.

Lace hooks keeps getting caught and cause falls
I did a 6 day hike and climb with the shoes and the 2 shoe lace hooks for the ankle support have on multiple occasions gotten caught on the large long lace loop and has cause several falls, the seams of the rubber toe cover is also starting to peel from just this one hiking trip.

Great boots, but questionable waterproofness
First outing with these boots on a 4 day semi-alpine tramp in New Zealand. Easy trail on day one, with a few soggy bits but nothing major - I was surprised to see how quick the boots wetted out and then experienced damp feet within the first few hours. They dried out in the sun later in the day, but crossing some minimal snow patches on the third day - damp feet again. Other than that, very comfortable and light with good protection and support (if a bit lacking on instep). Superb grip on rock and worked great with trail spikes too.

Excellent approach boot that feels like a shoe.
The product met the expectation of BD gear. My first approach shoe. Water proof lining was spot-on through a series of rucks with light snow, snow-melt mud, ankle deep puddles and rain. I did need to size up 1/2 size to free some space for the tips of toes and I still think the shoe is narrow at the end of the metatarsals but the full length lacing helps. Never had any issues with blistering. Grip was awesome.
