Jetforce Pro 25L Backpack
Black Diamond's Jetforce Pro is a ski-specific touring backpack built with an avalanche airbag for backcountry terrain. Black Diamond redesigned the Jetforce Pro airbag this season. Its rechargeable, fan-based, electronic system is now lighter, smaller, and placed in a more convenient location for packing. The travel-friendly lithium battery includes an LED battery indicator, automatic self-diagnosis tests, and the ability to deploy multiple times on a single charge. The bag features puncture-resistance, automatic deflation, and multiple deployments should one fail during a slide. It's also Bluetooth-compatible to the Pieps App for system analysis and updates.
The pack itself caters to a variety of backcountry skiers for dawn patrols, hut trips, and mountaineering missions. It can carry skis diagonally, and the straps tuck away for the downhill. This sleek, streamlined pack also includes carry systems for a helmet, ice axe, avalanche gear, and more. Its 25L capacity is completely modular so you can add Black Diamond's Booster Packs (sold separately) to add more storage for longer tours.

Durable and Versatile Pack
Pack is well built and I love the ability to make the pack larger or smaller based on the objective and length of trip.

Overall great airbag
Love the airbag and the technology. Easy to charge, turn on and off. Practiced deploying and repacking before our backcountry trip to Japan. Worked great and is easy to repack after deployment. Did not feel like the 25L was big enough for cold weather touring. Will for sure be buying the 35L attachment. Had a hard time fitting in the insulated layer with extra gloves and a repair kit. Had no room for anything else. I like the compartment inside for water, it held a 2 liter Nalgene and a "bullet" type thermos easily and nicely. Struggled with the waist belt closure, especially with gloves on. Used it 6 days straight and finally started getting it, but it never came easily. Understand why it has to be the way it is, if you need to deploy the pack in an avalanche, it would definitely hold, but it makes for extended transitions trying to orient it and tighten it properly. Also, one of the helmet "bikini" plastic hooks broke the first day. Had to use a wire tie for the rest of the trip, these should be metal.

Solid Airbag/BC Pack
I purchased this bag to be my sole BC ski pack and it has proven to accomplish this. From a safety perspective the electric fan inflatable airbag is great especially because I can practice multiple inflations to be prepared. The dedicated avalanche tool pocket is key along with the smaller essentials pocket next to it. I purchased the 25L and quickly realized that for my tour gear I like to take, it is small. But of course I can purchase the add ons pack extenders, but I might have purchased the 35L for that reason. I was also impressed by the weight for a fan airbag pack.

Great Avy Bag, One Really Bad Flaw
I've had this bag for over five years. I've used this bag for every backcountry trip, from heli trips in Alaska, multi-day hut to hut ski touring in the Alps, to single day trips in the side country. Overall, I like this bag a lot save for two issues, one of which others have touched on. Pros: Battery system is great, app is easy to use and update the software, lights are easy to read. Multiple uses each charge is great. - Avy bag is easy to pack back down and get back in the compartment. - I love the modularity between the sizes: 10L is perfect for heli or sidecountry, 25L is good for a full day or maybe two. The 35L is great for multi-day trips or it can get you to the hut, and then you can switch to the 10 or 25L to do day strikes from the hut. - Has enough features and room to organize essentials and the avy trigger is conveniently located. Cons: THE ZIPPER...I always have to check this thing while touring or before I go downhill. If it is packed full, this zipper WILL come undone, just hopefully not to a great extent. Maybe they've fixed this with newer models. I recognize that this zipper can't be bomber so that the bag inflates, but there should be some sweet spot where the bag has freedom to deploy without the zipper coming undone at the slightest disturbance. - If you are bringing everything you need for self-sustained, multi-day guiding or camping (tents, stove, sleeping bag, etc.), none of these booster sizes will be enough for you. - No route for water or radio, you will have to rig something up yourself. Recommendations: #1, the zipper #2: Some cinch straps that can accommodate each booster would be great. Sometimes you take a 25L but don't completely fill it up. I want my pack to be tight and condense on my back when I'm skiing and being able to cinch this pack down as small as possible would be great. Overall, this is great avy technology and the boosters let you pick how big you want it to be for each excursion. It's a great pack and I love Black Diamond. If they can fix those two issues (zipper, cinch straps), this pack would be the BEST.

Fits well on a smaller frame
I have been borrowing my husband's pack for years, so it was time to get my own and this one fits perfectly on my petite frame. It seems like it is well designed to fit all my gear. I'm excited to wear it the backcountry this winter.

Well made bag, too small
Construction is excellent but the purported 25L volume does not seem close to 25L actual volume. I would order the 35L add on if I could get the website to work (which it doesnt and Ive gotten no response by writing to Black Diamond).

Solid bag but it marks up any clothing that touches it
The features of this bag are great. No argument with other reviews on that front. Unfortunately whatever material it is made of has marked up every jacket that I've worn underneath it. My expensive gortex shell has large black marks everywhere that this bag has touched the jacket.

Not 100% convinced yet
I don't have a whole lot of experience with Avi packs, and have never needed to deploy one. No first hand experience on that level. I opted to buy this pack because I travel a lot and not having to buy or fill cartridges every time I go somewhere seems like a convenient choice. It inflates faster than I expected and it is very easy to use and re-pack. The part that I'm not (yet) happy about is the form fitting of the pack itself. The pack is pretty heavy and sizeable. The back is almost flat and does not follow the form of the body, making it feel clumsy. I might just have to wear it longer to get used to it? Not sure.
