Light and Packable
For those Windy ridges or windy belay ledges. I like the full zip but definitely would prefer the half zip. Super thin membrane and would only provide wind and rain resistance on active day out. Practical for those long but light days.

PLEASE BD!!!!!
Please bring this jacket back...or something similar. It is THE perfect emergency layer that takes no thought to throw in a pack....doing an excellent job of cutting the wind and even keeping me dry in a light rain or snow.

Good kit
Only reason I gave it 4 stars is no hand pockets. I’m 5’9 195lbs and I got the XL. It’s a little big, should have got the large. Over all it’s a great jacket.

Great
Great jacket. It's soft and has a good cut in the arms, shoulders, and hood. These reviews should come in 9 months. Haven't had it snag on twigs, wash it, test the zipper. Basically, durability testing.

Ultra light shell
I purchased this to use as a light shell for backpacking. It was intended to be used in occasional light rain, wind, and is a layer piece. I haven't yet tested it in any rain but it worked great for a layer piece and is is as light as they come.

Lightweight & Breathable
I bought this for running on cold days but ended up using it on the skin track this winter. I really enjoy how lightweight it it - perfectly insulating as I warm up while not creating a sweat factory. Whenever I want to take it off I can just stuff it my bibs pocket.

Bad sizing for 5'8"

If you're 5'8" then a bad sizing/cut ruins an otherwise good lightweight windbreaker. The torso length on size Small is way too long unless you're 6'1. That's a strange design choice because really just how many 6'1" dudes are going to be wanting to buy a size small? If I could cut off the bottom 3-4 inches of the jacket it would fit well. As it is, the length makes it look super goofy. And the bottom opening is narrower than it should be, despite the waist and chest fitting great. So yeah, if you're 5'8" and a bit under 150lbs, don't buy this jacket. The otherwise decent jacket is ruined by the disproportionately long torso on size S. I really hope Black diamond updates the proportions on the size small for next year's model. The other critiques are more minor. The front chest pocket isn't very clean of a design, it takes away from the overall look. And the front full length zipper material is too stiff for the lightweight material. Aside note to Back Country - The 'Product Fit' Feedback dropdown treating fit as if it's 1-dimensional doesn't help. The fit is okay width wise, but too long. The option 'Runs large' makes me think baggy, not necessarily too long.

Ultra lightweight wind layer.
I always throw this in my pack for multi pitch climbing. It weigh nothing and takes up no space. It will stay dry in light rain but anything else, your getting wet. I also bring it running when the weather is questionable. You can fold it up small enough to shove in a running fanny pack.

Great shell!
I'm 6'4" and normally wear an XL. This fit perfectly and I can layer it with some light clothing.
