The Do-It-All Option
Big fan of BioLite here. This is my third headlamp from them, and it slots perfectly between my 330 and my 800 Pro. The 330 lives in my car as a go-to emergency and around camp light. I have also used it while running at night, but not too often. The 800 Pro is a beast, and it gets the most use as my primary light while night skiing in the backcountry. I was looking for something that was slimmer and lighter than the 800 Pro while offering more power than the 330, and the 425 is the perfect answer. Whether I am ski touring, bikepacking, car camping, night riding on my mtb, or hunting, this headlamp can be found in my pack or on my head. Battery life is stellar, and once you get used to the mode switching patterns, it is a breeze to operate. If I had to own just one headlamp, it would be this one.

Perfect with our rooftop tent!
Pulling into campsites in the dark has its challenges so we’re psyched to have the headlamps to move about without waking our neighbors. Although I prefer sharing spit, they also help with trucktop late night reading. Thanks BioLite

Very portable but battery life is disappointing
Compared to my last BioLite headlamp, this one offers superior weight (next to nothing!), which is both more comfortable for running and also better for ultralight hiking. But the battery life is not up to my endeavors. It gives out after about 1.5 hours of use, even on relatively low power settings.

Light, Bright, Comfortable
I was pleasantly surprised to find this headlamp to be so comfortable, as I thought the weight of the battery pack might affect the balance or fit. I am using it for work and can leave it on all day in complete comfort. It has a great balance of brightness and runtime, with easy to use controls. The headband feels like a better quality than on my previous lamps from another well know headlamp company.

Bright
This head lamp is really bright and I do like it. However, the battery on the back is rather heavy and tends to pull the band loose when I'm wearing it. Also, the fact that the back light button and charging port are opposite one another, I easily turn the back light on by accident. All in all.it is a good head lamp.

Solid Headlamp
I bought one of the OG head lamps back when they were on kick starter and loved it. It was time to upgrade and this one met the need. I've had other brands before but biolite's headlamps can't be beat. Highly recommend.

Run before or after sunrise with a BRIGHT light!
This lightweight headlamp with a back red light packs a punch! It is light and BRIGHT! I love the fact that it has a back red light that can flash so cars on the other side of the road can be alerted that there is someone up ahead running in the dark.
