The Fly Creek HV UL 3-Person Tent stays true to its ultralight appeal that minimalist backpackers love, but Big Agnes upgraded this model with a high-volume design for a roomier night's sleep. Unique to Fly Creek HV tents, DAC's Angle SF Hub works with the Featherlite pole system to provide 25% more head space and 10% more foot room. Apart from a higher volume, the Fly Creek HV UL Tent still features the same waterproof fly and floor, and mesh canopy to keep biting midges out.
The fly creates a dry space to protect your gear from wet weather, and it gives the door a dry entry so you don't dampen your sleeping bag. Big Agnes included eleven superlight stakes, three internal mesh pockets, and gear loft loops to accommodate the Big Agnes Triangle or Entertainment Center lofts (both sold separately). This tent is also compatible for a lighter fast fly setup with the fly, poles, and footprint (sold separately).

Leaky Rain Fly
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I've had a few BA tents and really like them. After starting my second season with this tent I've decided it's going to go away and I'll be buying a new one. It has a lot of great features with how light it is, but living in costal Alaska it simply can't hold up to a even light drizzle. I've followed setup directions and tried the guy lines in all different angles but the rain fly will always touch the mesh tent body in either light rain or even light wind. When raining it drips right through onto your bag. If it's both windy and raining there is no hope in staying dry. The image shown shows even when pulled as tight as possible it still touches the tent body, shown by the darker colored area where the condensation on the fly was touching my tent. If I lived in a dry climate I'd love this tent, but unfortunately I'm back on the hunt for a new one.
