Broken Zipper :(

If you read one of these reviews, you have read them all. -Yes, it runs small. I am normally a medium (135 lbs with a chest). The size chart is accurate- I reccomend using it. The large fits okay but not much room for layers. - Yes, the zipper is broken. I received my first one and could not open the jacket fully. It stays zipped at the bottom. I returned it. They sent me a replacement and yes, that zipper was also broken. I thought it was user error, took it to several of my gearhead friends and they agreed, it was broken. I sent that one back too. I am waiting to get my third jacket and fingers crossed, it's not a pull over! - Yes, it's adorable and that is why I am trying three times to buy one. -The million-dollar question is why Backcountry knows there's an issue with the zipper and continues to sell defective products. They could at least test it before they send it, but they do not. I am a new customer and have placed several other orders but now worried about the quality of Backcountry products. I will review my 3rd replacement item too for anyone else who might want this coat. There was no attempt at service recovery- I had to find a printer for the return label twice, drive to UPS twice, did not have the jacket when I needed it, and spent upwards of 2 hours on hold with service between the two returns. They don't seem to care- no apologies, not even a sticker for my troubles.

zipper doesn't work
The jacket is light, good for short people. I will definitely keep it if the zipper works! Unfortunately, I contacted the online chat and through emails for an exchange, but nobody answered. So I had to return it.

Runs insanely small

Runs super short and small. I’m 5’9 and usually a large in brands like Patagonia & north face. I ordered an XL for it to be oversized and it runs suuuuper tiny & cropped. Clearly backcountry does not design with the female body type in mind. My “size up” size shouldn’t be tiny on me. Do better.

Awesome Jacket!

This coat is great! I will wear it out and about on its own on a chilly day or as a layer under my shell if I'm in the mountains. My favorite part is the small extenders in the neck of the jacket give you a little extra space for a scarf or neck warmer.

This coat is cropped which works great for a shorter person. It is warm, soft, and has a great hood and lined pockets. Super happy to have found. Looking forward to putting it to the test. And it does fully pack into itself!

I love this coat! It is thin and so warm. It is a little short and boxy, but I like it! I am having trouble with the zipper, so I am exchanging for a new one- not sure if I got a defective zipper. I like the coat enough to try again. I am normally a small, but bought a medium to be able to layer. I can wear a sweater or sweatshirt underneath comfortably.

I was so excited to get this jacket?.until I put it on. First, its just weirdly short in the body. Like it was square shaped?wide and short. Also, it has that odd double zipper thing going on with one going up and one going down. It was very difficult to maneuver. It shouldn?t be that hard to just zip up a jacket.
