Why We Built The Backcountry Destination Base Short
"These shorts feel like they have built-in air conditioning. Once I start to sweat, they cool me down instantly." —Gearhead® Expert Jesse
Whether we're topping out boulders, trail running in the foothills, or just enjoying a hike through the woods, the Backcountry Destination Base Short is down for all our favorite summer activities. We crafted this technical short with a lightweight, breathable fabric to wick sweat and keep us cool through warm-weather adventures, and then treated it with PFC-free DWR to shed dust, mud, and drizzles out on the trail.

These are great shorts. Too expensive to pay full price though so get them on sale. Runs slightly large so look at the size chart. Great shirts for hiking and going around town. Don’t think I can use them as running shorts though but great in every other way. Super comfortable.

Every pair of shorts I own is a medium so I bought these in medium but they fall off constantly, even with the strings tightened they fall down so I’m stuck just wearing them around the house. So make sure do buy a size smaller is my recommendation
