Why We Built The Backcountry CrestCarver GORE-TEX Shell Jacket

We built our Backcountry CrestCarver GORE-TEX Shell Jacket to bring high-powered performance to the resort without a gaudy price tag. The jacket is chock full of performance features, headlined by the 2-layer GORE-TEX ePE membrane that provides top-of-the-line waterproofing and breathability so we can comfortably surf through deep troughs of powder. We love that we can batten down the hatches on stormy days with the adjustable cuffs, hem, hood, and powder skirt while still maintaining breathability with angled underarm vents. We designed the jacket to be environmentally friendly, utilizing an eco-conscious, PFAS-free* membrane and recycled materials to keep our impact minimal.

Feature-packed, looks great, fits great. The one flaw is missing cord locks or a locking mechanism on the hood elastics, particularly odd because all the other cords have very sleek and clever locking mechanisms.

Jacket is amazing! So many cool features with the built in goggle cleaner, pass holder, etc. Fits great and is very comfortable. Runs a little big. Usually where a L but M was best for me.

Goretex jacket has all of the features i need. Been skiing for many years and had a lot of different jackets. The jacket had features that did not know that I needed and have liked.
