Built with a flat aluminum blade, the AviTECH is perfect for digging out smooth pit walls or chopping through debris, and has several slots designed to facilitate building a rescue sled. The aluminum shaft is tough and durable, but a blast of adrenaline can kick you into overdrive in emergency situations, leading to a snapped shovel—to remedy this, G3 designed the telescoping shaft in two parts, allowing you simply remove the broken section and continue digging.
