Asolo's Eldo Mid LTH GV Hiking Boot feels remarkably light and more agile than most mid-cuff boots, and we like wearing it on day hikes with technical terrain. The suede upper has GORE-TEX waterproofing, a PU rand, and a rubber toe cap to keep us well-prepared whether the trail is full of rocks, mud, or a bit of both.

I've used these for a few ~5 mile hikes since I bought them a bit over a month ago. They were super comfortable from the first wearing, no break in necessary. Waterproofing seems excellent so far, I tried standing in shallow water briefly and there was zero leaking. I had just returned two other brands of hiking boots for various quality issues, and these are stand out beautiful quality in comparison. I do wish the ankles were a bit higher, but that is a personal preference. Light, supportive, and comfortable hiking boots, an amazing steal when on sale. Thanks Backcountry!

I bought this hiking shoes for my 3 weeks trip to Swiss Alps. It is the best hiking shoes that I bought by far. I wear it through the rains, the hills, mountain hikes, snow caped Jungfrau, and ice caves. It works basically on all terrains and weather conditions. Never got a blister in a brand new pair of hiking boots, that is amazing! I wear Size 8 but bought 1/2 size bigger for long hikes and hills. It is just perfect. A pair of comfortable hiking shoes in the Alps makes a huge difference in my trip. Highly recommended!

Beautiful shoe, narrower than expected

I love Asolo hiking shoes and wear them religiously. My go-to boot is the Stringer and I'm also a fan of the Falcon for a lighter weight option. The Eldo is toward the lighter end of their line of boots but because of the suede and heel a tad heavier than the Falcon. The Eldo is beautifully made and sharp looking. However, it is much narrower than any of my other Asolos and because of that felt a stitch shorter as well and my toes felt cramped and unable to spread wide. I ordered my usual size for this brand of 8 US. It might be a good fit for those who feel their other hiking boots are too wide or have too much room in the front toe area. Sadly, I returned the boot.
