The Gel Cumulus also features an Impact Guidance System that enhances your natural heel strike to toe-off, and the Guidance Trusstic System utilizes a vertical flex groove called the Guidance Line to ensure an efficient gait while still providing a well-structured midfoot.

Asics built the upper out of open mesh to give your foot ventilated airflow, and the ComforDry sockliner wicks moisture, dries quickly, and reduces odor. Gel Cushioning Systems at the rearfoot and forefoot reduce shock, and the DuraSponge sole is a blown-out version of Asics High-Abrasion Rubber for more comfort. Asics even minimized the eyelets to provide a more finely-tuned fit.
