Should have just paid $10 more at Simms.

I figured I would spoil myself and order these because I loved the idea of the nipper having a system to help me tie on tiny flies. Backcountry sent me a cheap pair of nippers instead. My first attempt to get this rectified i was told the item was backordered and the correct item will be sent within a week when new stock arrives. I asked for an email to confirm this and one was sent. A month later still no replacement. Called again and was now told I will have the item in a week but need to return the nippers that were sent by mistake. So now two twenty minute phone calls later and thetime needed to return the cheap nippers Im sorry I didn't just go on the Simms website and order these nippers direct.

Pretty but underwhelming

Overall good but expensive. I would buy them again if they cut braid - but they don’t. They need tungsten carbide replaceable blades otherwise they are just another piece of fancy average nippers.

Solid

Good little nippers. Only used them a few days now so not sure how they will hold up. The magnet feature is why I bought them and it works well for me particularly with small flies.

Excellent product !

Well-designed, well-made, sharp blades, magnetic feature is very helpful, and useful to thread tippet through fly eye.

Magnets can come unseated

Like the look. Didn't like one of the magnets becoming unseated and is now magnetically jammed up against the other, so that the nippers are permanently wedged open. Need to find an Allen key to rectify. I'd recommend SIMMS go with a more robust glue

Best nippers ever! The location of the eye cleaner is great and the fly threading magnet is very handy.

They are fantasticwith my old eyes they work great for tying on tiny Baetis, Trico and Midge patterns. They are very sharp and attach nicely onto my lanyard and zinger. Best nippers I have personally used.

Part of my "must have” inventory now!

Razor Sharp nippers and the whole thing seems to be magnetized, so flies stick to the nipper! Line threading took a little practice, but seemes to be very effective with tiny flies.

The cutters are super sharp and easily and cleanly cut line. The built in eye punch has come in handy several times. The magnet makes tying on small flies much easier.

Nipper is great

Best nipper I have owned. Cut great You don’t accidentally loose the cut off fly as the magnet catches it
