I bought these about 6 months ago to break in before a 3 week hiking trip to rainy Scotland. They were initially waterproof on hikes last fall. Today walking in the calf length dewy grass around my property my sock on the left foot is soaked through. My sock on the right is wet too but not as much. They are well made and holding up structurally otherwise but I bought these specifically to be waterproof for my trip. I have had Merrels before and loved them. These are my first pair that were said to be waterproof. Very upsetš

Great shoes
Iāve been wearing Meryls for a long time. I really love the color black and the blue. Canāt wait to get them. I just Ordered the blue ones For the last 30 years, Iāve been having to go to The shoe fits store in middle place .he had to do it build up for me on any shoe I needed since I had the surgery. Iām finally in a normal pair of shoes again without a lift.

My First Pair of Hiking Boots
I was worried about getting into hiking since I had reconstructive surgery on my foot. Getting these have saved my life and has made me be able to hike like I used to! They are comfortable and reliable. I have walked through creeks and been to several waterfalls. My feet stayed dry the entire time. I will be continuing to by Merrell for hiking boots now on.

Way too narrow.
So hard to find wide hiking boots these were so narrow.

Wore this to Iceland
It is extremely comfortable and truly waterproof. I took it on my trip to Iceland, where it faced snow, waterfalls, and sand, and it held up perfectly. It's lightweight, making it easy to wear all day, and feels as comfortable as wearing my favorite sneakers.

No breaking in needed
Comfortable from the first step, I ordered these for an upcoming trip, but thought I would need to break these in. Not at all. I put these on first thing in the morning, went to a meeting, then we did a 2 mile hike, followed by a trip to the garden center and a few hours of yardwork. Perfect all day long. I own many pairs of Merrell's this pair is the best yet!

Ankle Support and Comfort
Excellent. These are the 3rd pair of Merrells I have owned and they are amazing. If you are looking for ankle support and comfort, buy these shoes.

Marvelous Merrill
Super comfortable and supportive. Handles rocks on the trail well. First worn in Joshua Tree National Park--fantastic! True to size, my foot requires a slightly wider shoe, 8 1/2 was perfect.

Great
I broke my shoes in with 2 2-hour long hikes around Frick Park in Pittsburgh, then hiked for at least 5 hours a day at Zion and Bryce Canyon -- fit perfect, no pain ever. Went through mud and a stream, and my feet stayed perfectly dry. My first experience with hiking boots (I had only ever used sneakers before). Perfect!
