I bought these because I don’t like to wear boots on easier trails and I absolutely love them. They have a wide toe box which I appreciate, and very comfortable overall. I recently did a hike with many water crossing and my socks didn’t get wet at all. Happy with them so far!

Initial thoughts: much wider than previous models with better arch support. I have only worn them around the house a bit so time will tell on durability and comfort while walking long distances. The wider toebox is an awesome upgrade for someone with wide feet. Thank you Keen! I've always loved the womens colors but was forced to buy a mens model in order to get a wide enough shoe. They seem true to size for me in length. The fact that the width fits me well likely means they run wide. I would probably size down 1/2 size if you don't have wide feet or plan to use an insert. The rose color is gorgeous in person! Exactly like stock photos.

My new favorite shoe

I love this shoe! Very sturdy and supportive. After reading about it running large, I ordered both my regular size and a half size smaller. It was a dilemma - there wasn't much difference and either seemed fine. I had a slight preference for the smaller size and crossed my fingers... and....it's perfect! No heel slippage nor are my toes shmushed. It fits like a glove, and didn't require even a second of breaking in. A little bummed that it went on sale only days after I got it, but that always happens to me. I took advantage of the sale to order a Targhee hiking boot because now this is the only shoe I want to wear. (P.S. I had also ordered a Targhee III shoe to compare, and really preferred the dark gray color but for some reason it was just not as comfortable. Color is secondary to comfort!)

I think these shoes have had the least painful breaking time of any shoe I've worn for work. My only problem is that even though it recommended me to get a size 10 because I wear a size 10 in brooks, the shoe seems to be 1/2 a size too big (I do have flat narrow slim feet). With my inserts it's not as bad but my foot still moves around in the shoe a bit. Traction is great, so far water proof has been great. I really hope that the soles don't dissolve like they said they won't. All other water proof shoes end up dissolving the glue and cracking.

Too large.

I have worn size 12 women's utility keens for years and just moved up to men's 10 to 10 half. These shoes were more like a 13 or 14 in womens.

I have worn various different versions of Keen hikers for years, and several versions of the Targhee. I love the wide toe box! The sizing seems different each time around, however. I had to return the 8.5 and get an 8 in this one. I also use after-market insoles to get better arch support. I hope they are a bit more durable than earlier models!

Great every day hiker

I got these for daily wear as I wanted something waterproof and versatile that could be worn to work, errands, etc. and also be good for light walking and hiking. These are truly perfect for that and were pretty much a fit right out of the box. The toe area is wide enough and I sized up a half size (as I usually do with Keen hikers) and am able to wear special insoles with them no problem. Although I selected ‘true to size’ for the sizing it seems like it may not be necessary to size up unless you have insoles or will be wearing thick socks. Overall I am very happy with them and have been wearing them almost daily since purchased. A very stable shoe.

Comfortable fit.
