Creme Waterproofing Wax for Leather

You love your leather gloves and boots, except when they get soaked through in a snowstorm or on a wet hike. Waterproof and protect your leather goods with the Nikwax Creme Waterproofing Wax for Leather. This concentrated blend of water-based waxes enhances the water-repellent properties of the leather without compromising breathability, so it won't interfere with the action of Gore-Tex or eVent inserts.

Five star product

I love all of the Nikwax products. Whatever the packaging says it does.. it does.. That simple. I have used this once a year on everything from boots… to my favorite dress gloves. It is soft.. and works its way into the leather (including stitching and seems) easily… It absorbs and dries quickly allowing for use in a short time. The product doesn’t dry my leather goods out or cause cracking or any other “moisture” related issues. But it does keep moisture out! It also doesn’t discolor my items. It made my gloves very soft feeling .. and they felt as if i had broken them in with loving use over the years. All other sprays and creams feel short of keeping my hands warm and dry with winter gloves. But this worked amazingly well from day one. Would highly recommend for driving gloves, and other leather items. Perhaps even a nice leather wallet .. portfolio etc.. But use caution (try a hidden spot for a test first if you do so on unusual items. I notice my good driving gloves didn’t “discolor” but they did become darker for a time (obviously due to the addition of a liquid product filling in the pores of the product). Good luck and enjoy! And certainly… stay dry out there!

Stay dry keep warm

I used this waterproofing wax on my gloves. I was able to keep my hands dry while skiing and snowboarding. Dry hands, equal warm hands.

Excellent product - used it for many years

I have used this product of leather gloves and boots in Minnesota fall/winter for many years. Used on mittens like kinko makes them waterproof… and makes them work for many years hard use… chopping wood and all kinds of wet/cold work. I never bothered with wiping off excess… working will do that.

Keeps the leather gloves tough

This product Effectively Refreshed and waterproofed my leather gloves for ski patrol work. Liquid formula easy to apply. Worked well on those wet days where extra protection is needed. Large enough product size to share with the rest of the crew throughout the season. If not fully worked into the glove it can smear on your other clothing or equipment. Preheating the glove helped to get full absorption.

Great on leather gloves/boots

My first experience with this was using it to waterproof Kinco brand mitts. I have a pair that I use as belay gloves when ice climbing, and they're super warm and (thanks to the Nikwax) waterproof. They also make great inexpensive ski/snowboard gloves. If you pay attention at the resort, you'll see a ton of ski patrol and class instructors wearing them! It's easy to apply, just spread it around on the glove (be generous with it around the seams) and then melt it in with a heat gun or hairdryer, and it works incredibly well. You do need to reapply once a year or so, depending on your usage, but that's totally reasonable. Since then I've also used it on some of my older winter boots, and it's kept my feet dry.

Keep that gear fresh!

Renewing the waterproof on gloves and boots is an annual ritual. The Nikwax applicator makes this process so easy I can get through all my gear plus the wife's in an evening. Shake well and enjoy!

Mitten maintenance

Stuff rocks. I use this on my crabgrab gloves a few times each season and it works like a charm. Time to get a new tube!
