Why We Like BikeYoke Revive 3.0 Dropper Seatpost

Bike Yoke is back with their improved Revive 3.0 dropper post. Now featuring adjustable travel via four included travel shims, the Revive 3.0 can be adjusted up to 20mm to fit the rider precisely. The Revive is also 15mm shorter, thanks to lower-profile saddle clamps and a shorter foot for better clearance inside our frame. The Revive 3.0 does away with the notoriously unreliable IFP design for more reliability and has a reset function that bleeds the post to eliminate any vertical play and restore function without having to service the post. Additionally, the cables and housing are improved and included with the post, and the actuator has been updated for a more reliable design. Bike Yoke prides itself on keeping most of the features on the post the same, only improving what needed to be improved to give us a user-friendly, simple dropper post that works.

So far so good, but some notes...

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I got the Revive to replace the stock RockShock/Reverb that comes with the Santa Cruz. The Reverb would consistently get squishy, even after a single ride. Generally a thumbs up. But a few notes for buyers: - It's heavier than the Reverb - Installation isn't trivial, I had to take it to the shop although there are good YouTube how-tos - It's cable not hydraulic so if you're replacing a Reverb, you're also going to need a new trigger I like the feel of the Reverb trigger better than the Revive/BikeYoke. It's not a big deal and I'm sure I'll get used to it, but the way the dropper post engages feels slightly less responsive than the Reverb. With the hydraulic, as you push the trigger there's less resistance as the post releases. In contrast, the Revive trigger doesn't feel like it has a clear release point. I don't feel confident I've pushed hard enough to drop the seat. I got the impression from my LBS that RockShock may be more amenable to repairing the Reverb. After a few months, my Reverb would get squishy and there wasn't a reliable way to fix it. I'd push the bike shop to repair before speeding the $$ to switch it out.

Having terrible time dealing with BikeYoke regarding warranty support. Leaving review and contacting all parties involved.
