Best hikers ever!
Love these hikers! Bought these especially because they’re waterproof and have a higher ankle for support. And boy did they deliver on our trip up to Lake Superior! We go rock hunting and this beach we went to was all rocks! Believe me, you need really great support and traction on rocks and these delivered and then some! I never slipped once, never lost my my footing! Even on wet rocks! And my feet stayed dry! Thats very important because the water in Lake Superior is around 45 degrees in mid May! Like I said, I love these hikers!

Comfortable and waterproof
I will give them 4 stars for now. I habe not been on any day or extended hikes yet. But so far they have been comfortable and waterproof with good traction. I will update my review once I have had them longer and more strenuous hikes.

Great hikers
Great hikers. Comfortable right out of the box (for me at least). I’m normally a size 9 but went up to a 9.5 and it’s a perfect fit.

Hard to find quality like this
I wore these shoes every day for six months. During that time, I walked a minimum of 5 miles a day, usually on roads, but also hiking through mud, sand, snow, and whatever else. After more than 1,000 miles of walking, the uppers were a bit worn, but the soles looked practically new. I've put another couple of hundred miles on them since then. Still in good shape, still comfortable, though not very waterproof. Would still be wearing them if my dog hadn't eaten the insoles.

Not Waterproof
I'm extremely disappointed in these shoes. They are not waterproof, perhaps water resistant. I have had many previous pairs of Moab hikers, the quality has gone downhill. After wearing these shoes the day after overnight rain, walking around my lawn for three or four hours, the grass around 5 inches high, my feet are wet. No previous pairs of Moab hikers had this problem. I have only had the shoes for 6 weeks.

Another great pair of hiking boots!
In Merrell’s great tradition of comfortable, stable, and supportive hiking boots!

Disappointed.
Comfortable, but the left shoe was not waterproof. With a name like Merrell you think the quality would be outstanding. Never had a pair of Timberlands that I had a problem with the waterproof membrane. Bought these in an outlet store, that might be the reason why, maybe they only get seconds, or junk to sell.

MOAB 3
Not as comfy as version 2 . The heal area is tighter and the stitching that runs across the center of the heal rubs for weeks until broken in and is very uncomfortable. Maybe better construction and design would help.
