Why We Like The Chaco Lowdown Leather Slide
Chaco not only rules the rapids, but also wins for outdoor lifestyle wear with its Lowdown Leather Slide. The leather uppers cradle and caress our feet—whether we're at work or play— while the contoured LUVSEAT footbeds feel just like they sound with plenty of arch support for all-day comfort. We can dress it up or dress it down to wear all summer long.

Great sandals. Not great advice for size rec
They are very comfortable and as long as I tighten the straps they stay on my feet well. I have some other chaco shoes that are a 6.5 and when I inquired to chaco (having shared my normal size as a 6.5) if I should size up to a 7 or down to a 6 they recommended going for the 7 which I did and they are a little long on my feet. Sizing down would fit better but because I purchased them on sale the agreement was for no return so I am stuck with a pair that is just a little too big which is a little disappointing. Lesson learned, don’t trust the chat advice on sizing on a non-returnable product. Otherwise I am an avid chaco fan. I love the arch in the foot bed.

Great for narrow feet!
I have super narrow feet and most slides slip right off. These allow for adjustment so my feet feel secure. The footbed is also super comfy and supportive.

Happy Feet
Wonderfully comfortable, better than other sandals in similar style, and certainly more durable. Love that they have leather sides.

Not comfortable for me
I was hoping to receive a sturdier version of the Chillo slide but the foot bed is more narrow and not as cushioned. I need a good arch to prevent plantar fascitis and that was also not the right fit. I gave a wide toe box and wear a size 8 or 8.5 for reference. I ordered an 8.

House shoes only
Tried the Lowdown sandals in person and it was instantly literally the comfiest sole I had ever tried. Much more comfy than the traditional Chaco Zs (I have 2 pairs of Zs, one Cloud sole, and they are great support for walking and river activities, but not the best for standing). So I decided to get this pair of Lowdown slides as house shoes for hanging around my house. The leather strap is cute and gives a Birkenstocks vibe but a little classier, less clunky, and much more comfortable sole, plus washable, all things which Birks are not. They are perfect house shoes; HOWEVER, they do not work for walking out and about. They slide off and do not tighten effectively no matter how you adjust them. This results in walking with the "toe grip" which is what happens when you wear flip flops and pediatrists say that's bad for your feet. I will be looking into some Lowdown Sandals with the back strap for casual wear. Wish the regular Lowdown sandals were a little less sporty looking.

More Durable
I originally had bought some slides last year that held up well but the foam holding the strap split. I noticed the design changes and decided to upgrade to the leather slides and am very happy with their comfort and durability. They also take up less space in my luggage. Upgrades all around!
