I purchased a slightly earlier version of this pad (NeoAir Xtherm without the NXT, whatever that means) Unfortunately it developed a pinhole leak at one of the "pinch points" where the valve is inserted into the fabric of the mattress. Instead of standing by the product when I submitted a warranty claim Therm A Rest suggested that the leak was my fault and further insulted me with leak finding instructions that I had already gone through on my own, then graciously offered to take a look at the pad for a price of $30+. If you buy this pad and it leaks for any reason, they will not stand by it, period. RA #00264507

Best pad for all types of camping
I have had the previous three versions of this pad, love every one of them. Usually I buy the big sizes just for extra space to roll, I bought this one regular size for the light weight for an eight month hiking trip, camping across 5 states (3 long trails). I have used previous versions in all temps from sleeping on top of snow to the beaches of Mexico. They have proven to be the best pad I have ever used.

Comfortable, compact, warm, waterproof.
I use this pad year around for backpacking hunts August to November. It’s nice and compact and reasonably light weight regardless of version. I upgraded from the original to the new wing valve in order to use the neo air pump which I strongly recommend if you are blowing up your mattress daily. After hiking all day with an 80lb backpack just throw the pump on and it’s done within a few minutes!

Not disappointed!
For years I have been using a Ridgerest, and a classic series self-inflatong thermarest from the days of old. I finally bit the bullet and splurged on the XTherm, and wow, game changer. It takes much less space in my pack with very little weight. So far the quality is great, and I have had no issues with it. It keeps me warm and is a big improvement over my old setup for cold weather escapades.

So Far, So Good, Would Recommend
Took this unit out recently for the first time and was very pleased with it. Hoping to get it out this winter to really put it through its paces. Its my first air mattress so nothing to compare to. Definitely noted that one side of the mat is noisier than the other so I assume that is the sound dampening they added to this version as I heard it used to be pretty noisy. packs up nice and small. Wide version is a MUST that extra width makes all the difference. Still working on getting efficient at blowing up with the sack but overall happy with my purchase.
