Highly recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Smartwool does base layers the best. Comfortably snug, warm and stylish. I like the flexibility of the quarter zip as I usually wear these for fall/winter hiking with a light fall/winter jacket on top.

The best tops ever for staying warm and looking great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These tops are a staple of my wardrobe. The fabric and colors are gorgeous and durable, and the thermal weight is thick and luxurious while still being lightweight and attractive. I have several, and I know I'll be back for more.

WOMEN'S CLASSIC THERMAL MERINO BASE LAYER 1/4 ZIP

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't had a chance to wear it yet. It was on sale so I purchased it and will wait until the colder weather to wear it. It is very nicely made and it looks of good quality. I don't like clingy clothes so i sized up to a large and very pleased how it looks on me. I can comment later when it is worn in the colder weather how warm it keeps you! I purchased it in black.

I would buy the shirt and multiple colors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this! Sleeves are long enough for my long arms.... The weight is super versatile! I wear it on cool mornings and evenings now in the spring summer.... Wore it on a late afternoon hike and it was fabulous! The zipper allows me to easily regulate the temperature.. I can wear it over a sports bra or over a tshirt and it looks great. Only downside.... It's a dog hair magnet. When my sister came to visit with her labradors, I think half of the labradors's coat was on my shirt. Other than that, I love the shirt.!

Great product even under pressure

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this product as my base layer for my drysuit for scuba diving. It is great even if I get leaks, it still keeps me warm. It's so soft so it's never uncomfortable even under pressure. I love it!

Great travel item

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to wear as a middle layer in colder climes, and as an easy neutral outer layer in air conditioned places or when traveling in summer and just needing something warm but not too warm, for late evenings. This item packs small and washes easily (but who needs to for short trips?!). I had to return it for a size larger for my stated purposes. The sizing is probably right for base layer use.

Love my 1/4 zips but quality has decreased

New ones are huge, fabric quality has gone down-- the wool pilled immediately so not as clean looking. I wear my 10yr shirts everyday in the winter! Love em!

Great product, poor fit for short people

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product, however doesn't fit my 5'1" husky frame. I got a medium and the arms were WAY too long and a bit too thin. A large would have fit my arms in width, but not in length. Hoping SmartWool comes out with a petite option as this would 100% be my go-to garment.

Very happy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Meets my requirements for hiking - super lightweight, breathable, and temperature regulating. Plus very flattering and great color! Please keep making jewel tones!
