Why We Like The Salomon MTN 96 Carbon Ski

Engineered so it's light enough for easy touring, yet wide enough for outstanding free touring, we like how the MTN 96 CARBON moves downhill as effectively as it climbs up. On the way down, the 96mm waist is quick edge to edge when snow isn't any good and the rocker in the tip and tail adds float and control when the snow is deep and fluffy. On the uphill, the Karuba core keeps the weight down so that we have the energy for another lap.

Amazing!

Finally got to ski this ski. Skied some Michigan ice. For a touring ski it held well on ice and hard packed. I am sure this ski will do very well in POW. Solid ski, easy to turn from GS to short.

Solid skis

Very stable for the weight. Ski with confidence on and off piste, including gnarly all mountain conditions. Climbs extremely well. Easy-peasy kick turns

Amazing ski

Perfect for my kind of ski I didn’t find defect. Off piste was good easy to turn and control. Then in pist was good when I went fast. Very good feeling

Light and Responsive

These are my go to big mission skis. At sub 1400g/ski they allowed me to tour all day with out giving up performance on the descent. I skied a lot of bad snow with these and the damp cork tip and tail helped hold an edge and really dampened the vibrations. Definitely recommend.
