Compresses tiny but packs a punch!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- Regular
Bought this before going on a 3 day backpacking trip. It compresses down smaller than I thought possible and weighs nothing. It is extremely warm, so paired with my rapide sleeping pad; I slept with my sleeping bag completely unzipped even when it dipped to the low 30s. I am a very curvy girl, 180lbs and 5'2, my husband is 5'9. The regular size is perfect for us both with enough room to turn in. This is the best sleeping bag EVER. Don't wait; buy today!!

Excellent bag for the money
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I received this bag about a month ago and have since taken it on two camping trips. The weather was in the low 50's at night and I was plenty warm.

I dig it!
So far this season (summer) I've used this bag a dozen times and I'm more than pleased with it! This is my first light/UL sleeping bag so although i'm not too hard to impress I feel MHW knocked it out of the park. The weight and warmth exceeded my expectations considering the reviews I found said it's not the lightest or the warmest. I'm a "hot sleeper" so this was me cozy all the way down to 30 degrees. In the next few months I'll check back in to report how it does during fall. One last thing: the 'long length' (for a taller guy) and ease of use for the zippers have me super stoked!

Great sleeping bag!
I purchased this sleeping bag for a 8 day backpack trip in Utah over the month of August. Temps were high of 80 and low of 45 at 9100ft. I slept in shorts with no socks and short sleeve shirt. The Phantom was so warm, I would up outside of the bag by the morning. It packs small and is very light for total all around gear weight. Very pleased with this bag in my bag!

Super small and light
I have -40F and 0F Phantom bags. This one is extremely light, but I would say slightly chill for 30F. Use dryer on low temp every time after a trip with tennis balls to make sure down is airy and evenly distributed (but don't really see a need with lower degree bags) - still feels like in feet area down is unequally distributed after keeping it in compression bad for 1-2 days of trip. Also good for slim\athletic people but would be tight if you are on bigger side. Plus - would love to have Goretex option for all Phantoms - for PNW bivy nights.

great compact summer bag!
So far this bag has been great. super compact. I am eager to test it out on colder nights. its only gotten down in the 40's when I've used it but I haven't needed to zip it. lots of foot room.

Wonderful, high quality, lightweight sleeping bag.
This a wonderful, high quality, lightweight sleeping bag. The down is rated 850 so it keeps you warm without all the weight. I use it back packing and bike packing.

Top Tier Quality
So stoked with this bag so far. Very comfortable, packable, and cool looking. One of my favorite features is the extra room in the foot area. The extra couple of inches allows you to move your feet around just enough while still retaining heat. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a high-performance mid-weight bag.

As always Mountain Hardwear delivers!
There is no replacement for down when it comes to staying warm. My Phantom 30 has kept me warm in 20 degree weather in a hammock. Absolutely LOVE IT!

Packs small, super light, and warm enough!
Woke up to 40 degree weather and a very humid morning after rain in Colorado. Outside of the bag was wet due to condensation but bag kept me warm and dry all night! Bag dried quickly after hanging it for a little while. Packs super small and fits easily in my bikepacking saddle bag. Only complaint if I had to find one is that the down feathers at the feet weren't evenly distributed, so it took a little time for my feet to warm back up after getting into the bag.
