Why We Like The Karakoram X-Carbon + Splitboard Interface Binding
The 2024 X-Carbon + Splitboard Interface Binding is Karakoram's premiere binding for serious backcountry adventures. It's among the lightest Karakoram bindings available, and its extreme stiffness ensures the instantaneous response that we need for dropping the steepest lines in big terrain. It boasts a carbon highback for a lighter weight, a better-fitted heel cup for better power transfer, and a more open chassis that allows the splitboard to flex naturally. An incredibly supportive, powerful, and featherweight feel comes from the carbon highback, while the Dual Ride-Stride forward lean quickly toggles between Ride and Walk modes with a 1/4-turn of the forward lean adjuster. In Walk mode, the -8 degree forward lean elongates our stride to conserve energy on the long uphill skin. Ride mode delivers 0 to 22 degrees of forward lean for quick-turning response when we're charging steeps.
