The sneakers are way too tight at the ankle

The fabric at the ankle tent to tighten too much that it caused bruises at the Achilles tendon the area was swollen for a solid week

A hiking shoe without the lumberjack vibes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really comfortable straight out of the box, with cushioning in all the right spots. Worked very well on a hike and I'm sure they can handle all sorts of weather. The upper sock thingy is pretty tight at the opening, so be aware if your ankles are wide or you like a looser fit.

Comfort and stability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very comfortable. Easy to put on and off. Didn’t get rocks or pine needles in my boots because of the design.

My favorite, nice and comfortable hiking shoes

My girlfriend said that the Freehiker‘s design was too conspicuous and burdensome. She tried hiking in the Freehiker on my recommendation and now prefers the Freehiker.

Great quality. Sock lining keeps rocks out.

Wanted a shoe with more flexibility than a hiking boot. This was perfect. Feels like a running shoe acts like a boot. Waterproof too!

Perfect fit and super comfortable on day one.

Superior ankle support for hiking trails. This shoe fits like a glove. My first hiking shoe and I love them.

Bad design, get rid of ribbons around ankles

The shoes themselves are comfortable, but the high, sock-like design around the ankle is a problem. It rubs uncomfortably and the material is too dense and rough. My ankles are small (8-inch girth), and the design is too narrow to wear with high socks – which aren't ideal for warm and hot weather anyway.
