Must-have winter pad
Very happy I grabbed one of these going into last winter. I had been doubling up, inflatable + closed cell pad, to get through my winter camping and snow cave trips. I was getting by, but the bulk of carrying it all in was frustrating. This pad was certainly not cheap but I would argue it paid for itself after one winter. Once it is rolled up with the inflator bag in the stuff sack, or just wrapped up with the nice little strap they included, it is barely larger or heavier than my lightweight summer pad. The construction and durability seem really solid. I slept a few nights with it directly on the snow and stayed warm and comfy all night. It has me starting to think I could go with a lighter sleeping bag and still be ok. The Vortex inflator bag is a little weird in that you have to blow into it to get it to inflate. However, it’s incredibly lightweight and quite efficient; 3 full bags will inflate the whole pad. The valve on the pad is fine, but I wish there was a better way to fine tune the inflation. If you want to bleed off a tiny amount of air you have to pop the valve wide open and very quickly close it back. Not a deal breaker by any means. Overall, great product, definitely lives up to its R-value. Would definitely recommend (and already have).

Makes a difference
It's an investment, but you will not regret. It makes a big difference in comfort and weight. If you spend any significant time camping outdoors go get one. It works in all temperature ranges, it's not noisy as some people seem to say. The pouch is tight, but far from impossible if you roll it properly. It inflates very quick. Definitely get the wide version unless you're skinny and don't move at all. After 20+ years working and traveling outdoors, I was totally sold on this pad after 1 night. Looking forward to putting it to the test and enjoying good sleeps more often.

The perfect pad for me
Lightweight, extremely comfortable, and had me sweating in a snowstorm. It’s nice to know there’s a pad that I can trust in any Colorado conditions, and it weighs less than my tensor alpine wide long. Total win

Light / Warm / Comfortable / Durable
I took this for a late season backpack deer hunting trip where nightly lows were in the teens. It performed fantastically. I am so impressed with how light it is for all of the features that it has. Perfect Backpacking pad for when it's cold and you need that warmth underneath you, but you still need to keep your gear light and compact

Simply the best on the market
Theres just nothing that beats it. Extra thick so perfect for side sleepers, barely any extra weight over the less insulated versions, very durable. What more could you ask for? I bought the Regular Wide version and love it.

Go-To Sleeping Pad
Have used this at high altitude around Ecuador (where I am based). Performs perfectly in all conditions. Is my go-to pad for any alpine / winter adventures. Super comfy, surprisingly lightweight. All around one of my best buys in years.

So light and comfortable
I bought this to replace my thermarest and I’m so glad I did. It is a little noisy.

Combination of cushion, insulation and weight
I was looking for a pad for winter and/or snow camping. I am a side sleeper and need more cushioning than other pads have offered (or my hips hurt, and I can't sleep!). I am also trying to lighten my load, so I was looking for a pad that's light enough by itself and doesn't require I add a closed cell foam pad for more insulation. The Tensor Extreme Conditions Ultralight Insulated fits this challenging set of requirements!

Comfortable and keeps me warm!
This sleeping pad has been amazing so far. After dealing with an old no name brand pad that deflated in my sleep constantly and didn’t help me during the cold months this is such a luxury. As a side sleep though it is tough for me to have it comfortable while also not having my hip slightly touch the ground.

Is the tensor alpine ultralight the same pad as the longbow alpine offered at First Lite? Other than the color they appear to be the same.

I'm about 5'10. Should I go for the long version? It looks like I'll fit the regular mummy, but it may be a bit close.

I usually camp during winter without a tent. Is the material tough enough to withstand sleeping with fir branches on the ground or should I put the mat on the snow directly?

Are there any plans to make mummy shaped versions of the pads in the Tensor lineup (both Alpine and/or Tensor Insulated)? Without the mummy shape, I can't nest 2 pads in my tent.

I was wondering if you will change anything on the Design or the Material? The little Store here in Germany told me that the mat is sold out for the year and that he can order agian in December.

Hi! Is Nemo expecting to make a Wide/Regular in this sleeping pad soon? I want the wide one, but it's too long for my tent!
