Why We Like The Yeti SB135 C1 SLX Mountain Bike
Whether we're discovering all the side hits on our go-to trails or sessioning lines at the local dirt jumps, the Yeti SB135 is here to show us just how much fun we can have with less. The lightweight C/Series carbon frame is designed around 27.5-inch wheels to deliver playful agility all over the mountain, so we can drift, pop, and pump our way down the trail. The 135mm of Switch Infinity rear travel allows us to pedal efficiently while maintaining the bottomless feel for descending high-speed technical lines with ease. A 65.4-degree headtube angle is slack enough to provide the stability at speed we desire in a mid-travel bruiser like the SB135 without sacrificing the agility that 27.5-inch wheels are known for. Plus, size-specific chainstay lengths and seat tube angles allow all of us to have the same ride experience no matter what size we choose.
The SB135 C1 SLX is smartly spec'd with durable components built to withstand the abuse of riding day after day. The ultra-reliable Shimano SLX 12-speed drivetrain provides us with smooth, crisp shifting over a wide gear range, while 4-piston SLX brakes ensure we have tons of braking power to navigate technical lines with precision. A 150mm Fox Performance 36 fork is accompanied by a Float rear shock to make quick work of chunky rock gardens and flat landings. Rounding out this ready-to-rock build is a set of bombproof DT Swiss M1900 wheels to keep us rolling worry-free that are paired up with grippy Maxxis tires for maximum traction. So whether we're working on nailing a tuck no-hander or we're heading out to discover the line less taken, the Yeti SB135 C1 SLX Mountain Bike is chomping at the bit to help us push our limits.
*Due to a high demand in the global supply chain and bike industry since the start of the pandemic, material weight and exact components are subject to change. We are working diligently to keep tech specs updated, and any adjustments will be of equal or better spec level.
