I bought this recently and haven't yet tested it in real cold weather, but in sort of cold it was nice, kept my fingers warm. There was enough room for liners if I needed them, so I will be taking them with me on winter hikes. My fingers get cold easily so I'm glad to have them. I like the loop at the wrists to help pull them on and off, as well as the clasp to keep them together when not in use.
