Why We Like The Santa Cruz Heckler MX CC X0 Eagle Transmission Reserve E-Bike
Whether we are planning an all-day enduro ride or just want to session some laps at our favorite downhill trails, the Santa Cruz Heckler is our go-to bike when we need a capable bike with a boost. We love the Santa Cruz Heckler MX CC X0 Eagle Transmission Reserve E-Bike for its ability to take us further and faster and for its aggressive geometry and mixed-wheel setup. With a slack 64.8-degree head tube angle and a 76.7-degree seat tube angle in the high setting, the Heckler allows us to shred the downhills while keeping us in an efficient position when climbing. For those harder-charging enduro days, we can change the flip chip in the shock link, which allows us to make our Heckler longer, lower, and slacker for more stability when descending. The mixed-wheel setup gives us the best of both worlds, providing us with stability and rollover ability with the 29-inch front wheel, and enhanced agility and turning radius with the 27.5-inch rear wheel. The Shimano EP8 motor is more powerful and lighter than previous versions, and an interchangeable 730Wh battery means we can extend our ride to the next peak without worrying about losing power or getting tired.
The X0 Eagle Transmission Reserve build of the Santa Cruz Heckler MX is equipped with top-tier components and holds nothing back. First, Santa Cruz's premium Carbon CC frame is made with premium carbon fiber to give us the stiffest and lightest frame possible. Next, Santa Cruz fitted this version of the Heckler with SRAM's XO Eagle AXS Transmission drivetrain, providing us with the most precise and reliable electronic shifting on the market. Reserve's carbon wheels and DT Swiss's 350 hubs combine to make a top-quality wheelset that is durable, stiff, and lightweight. Top-tier Maxxis Assegai and DHRII tires with front and rear-specific casings give us the traction we need when sending it downhill and were equipped to handle the extra weight of an e-Bike. Top-of-the-line suspension from RockShox equipped this build of the Heckler with adjustable bump-eating technology. With the RockShox Zeb Ultimate, 170mm fork up front, and the RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate rear shock in the rear, we are free to plow through chunky trails without the worry.
*Due to a high demand in the global supply chain and bike industry since the start of the pandemic, material weight and exact components are subject to change. We are working diligently to keep tech specs updated, and any adjustments will be of equal or better spec level.
