Why We Like The Santa Cruz Bronson CC Mountain Bike Frame
Whether we enjoy a relaxing singletrack or are more in the realm of sending it as hard as possible, the Santa Cruz Bronson is a popular trail bike amongst the Herd due to its versatile design and optimal travel for nearly any trail. The Santa Cruz Bronson is back and has been updated with improvements across the board. A slacker 64.2-degree headtube angle in the high setting equips us with a slacker front end for more downhill composure, and longer, size-specific chainstays lengthen out the wheelbase for more stability on steep terrain. The combination of the slacker front end and the longer rear end shifts the weight bias towards the bike's center, providing a more balanced feel and stability in technical terrain. The Bronson has a new VPP suspension pivot layout that moves the rear shock forward, lower, and more parallel to the ground to help reduce anti-squat levels for a more efficient and smoother ride. The revised pivot placement gives us a more progressive leverage rate for a smoother, plusher ride and more traction while still being an efficient climber. The Bronson still sports its mixed-wheel setup for the best combination of speed, agility, and efficiency and now has a larger sag window to make finding our rear shock's sag easier. Carryover features on the Bronson include the Glovebox internal frame storage, chainstay and downtube protection, a geometry flip chip, a threaded bottom bracket, and SRAM's UDH.
*Due to a high demand in the global supply chain and bike industry since the start of the pandemic, material weight and exact components are subject to change. We are working diligently to keep tech specs updated, and any adjustments will be of equal or better spec level.
