Why We Like The Salomon Speedcross 6 GTX Trail Running Shoe
Early morning dew and afternoon rain showers don't slow us down when we're laced into Salomon's Speedcross 6 GTX Trail Running Shoe. This latest iteration weighs in lighter and bites harder, upping our tempo, while the breezy GORE-TEX membrane keeps our feet dry along the ride. As we stride atop sopping singletrack, the revamped sole releases mud as we go, keeping every strike solid for high-power toe-offs.

best shoes I've ever owned
I've owned 2 pair of the speed cross 5 and one pair of the speed cross 6 the fit and arch support are unmatched . I wear a pair almost every day for work or play . My oldest pair is several years old and are now smooth on the bottom they still work great for yard work. I'm now in the process of buying a new pair and looking at another pair with Gortex.

Excellence
I've been using Solomon hikers exclusively for years now and they never disappoint. These are my first trail runners and they fit exact as expected. Solomon shoes do fit narrow feet snuggly so keep that in mind. The cushioning provided good protection. The grip is amazing as I was hiking very steep muddy hills with no slipping at all.Quick Lace system is the best feature I think. Just pull evenly and it stays fixed all day. It's definitely 100% water proof too. Paired this with my Solomon gaiters and I'm good to go!!

Great mud season trail shoe
This is a comfy shoe and keeps you dry! Most of the trails In VT are flowing water in the spring time so I love them!! If they had a vibram sole they would be perfect. They are really slippery on wet rocks.

As expected!!
These shoes are replacing my last pair of the same model. The quality and comfort are as expected. The only thing I noticed that was different was that I had to go up one size from the last purchase. I discovered this in store luckily so it didn’t entail a return. The light weight brings great pleasure!

Quality Issue
I'm deeply disappointed with Salomon's warranty policy, especially considering this is my second pair of Salomon shoes with some issues. While the issue is different this time, the overall quality concern remains significant. Salomon's refusal to extend the warranty from the original purchase date is frustrating and indicative of a lack of commitment to product durability. As a loyal customer, I expect better support and accountability. This experience has significantly impacted my trust in the brand's quality standards.

GTX is amazing but midsole is questionable
I took it for a run on the mud flat and it handles the wet conditions like a king, there was quite a few times the shoes was submerged in the puddles but my feet was still dry and warm. The midsole of this shoes is extremely narrow and I have hard time break into the shoes and my feet wasn’t happy after the run, not sure if it’s the design or just me…

Great in the snow
Basically ran 50K on packed snow covered trails outside of Fairbanks Alaska. Wore these shoes with a few hours of wearing them break in time. They were comfortable, fit well and no hot spots. Thanks!

Great, except for a problem with the tongues
I bought this pair to replace a Speedcross 5 Gore-tex pair, which was great without exception. The tongue of the Speedcross 6 Gore-tex is attached at its base by only a narrow strap, so the tongue wants to shift well to the side over a short period of time. The tongue of the Speedcross 5 Gore-tex attaches by a much wider strap, and the tongue stays in place.

Perfect
Hands down best shoe I’ve ever owned. Most comfortable too. This is the second pair of Salomon’s that I own and both fit and feel amazing. I’ll only own Salomon’s from now on. Well done.
